Eliminate Project Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Neonatal tetanus kills one baby every nine minutes – nearly 60,000 newborn children every year. To eliminate MNT from the Earth, 129 million mothers and their future babies must be immunized. It will take $110 million – and the dedicated work of UNICEF and every member of the Kiwanis family. Our Indiana Kiwanians have now raised more than $1 million dollars for Eliminate. As Circle K’ers we must do our part in raising money for this great cause. The Eliminate Project is this years Governor’s project. Our district goal is to raise $5,000 this year. Please join the district board in supporting the Eliminate Project this year. Each dollar raised can make a huge impact on a mother and the life of her newborn children. For information and an update on the progress of this project, visit www.TheEliminateProject.org.
Club Awards for DCON District Convention for Indiana District Circle K will be taking place Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st. A big part of this convention is the distribution of club awards. Members of the board were hard at work this summer updating the criteria for the 2014 club awards. Every club works hard to be awesome and we think you should be recognized for this. Take a look at the criteria for each award so you know what to strive for this year. All of the applications can be found at http://www.indianacirclek.org/events/dcon/.
