Theme: “LIVE THE ANIMO THROUGH FAITH, SERVICE AND COMMUNION”
Reading: Luke 11:29-32
When the crowds were increasing, he began to say, "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no
sign shall be given to it except the sign of Jonah. For as Jonah became a sign to the men of Nineveh, so will the Son of man be to this generation. The queen of the South will arise at the judgment with the men of this gener-
ation and condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold,
something greater than Solomon is here. The men of Nineveh will arise at the judgment with this generation
and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is
here.
Reflection: The Lord Jesus came to set us free from slavery to sin and hurtful desires. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit he
pours his love into our hearts that we may understand his will for our lives and walk in his way of holiness.
God searches our hearts, not to condemn us, but to show us where we need his saving grace and help. He calls
us to seek him with true repentance, humility, and the honesty to see our sins for what they really are - a rejec-
tion of his love and will for our lives. God will transform us if we listen to his word and allow his Holy Spirit to
work in our lives. Ask the Lord to renew your mind and to increase your thirst for his wisdom and truth.
Prayer: "Lord Jesus, change my heart and fill me with your wisdom that I my love your ways. Give me strength and
courage to resist temptation and stubborn willfulness that I may truly desire to do what is pleasing to you."

Lasallian Core Value: COMMUNION
Graduate Attribute: Proud Filipinos De La Salle saw that participation in God’s plan of salvation happened not by withdrawing from the world and our particular circumstance, but precisely by embracing the temporal world and meeting the challenges of human life. The Founder remained a prayerful man, yet he too was keenly aware of the human situation that people of his day faced.
Like De La Salle, we are encouraged to listen to God’s challenge to our educational ministry in the hopes and struggles of the people of our particular milieu. The pride we have in our Filipino identity is indicative of our commitment to an education that is relevant and responsive to the needs of the Filipino people in this present time.
LA SALLE GREEN HILLS VISION-MISSION
La Salle Green Hills is a Lasallian Catholic educational institution that is internationally
recognized, learner-centered, and service-oriented in pursuit of social transformation.

Promote the development of spiritual and moral values;

Creator God, life is your gift to me. Through baptism, invite me to share the gift of my life in service of others. Be with me as I choose each day to show your presence in our world. Give me the courage and generosity to respond to your love, to your call. We pray that we may respect each one’s chosen path as we journey together and as we en-deavor to serve you in witnessing to the gospel. Open our minds and our hearts as we continue to seek the way you are calling us today. Amen.

What Is Autism? (Continuation) Some people with autism are cog-nitively impaired to a degree. In contrast to more typical cognitive impairment, which is characterized by relatively even delays in all areas of development, peo-ple with autism show uneven skill development. They may have problems in certain areas, especially the ability to communicate and relate to others. But they may have unusually developed skills in other areas, such as drawing, creating music, solving math problems, or memorizing facts. For this reason, they may test higher -- perhaps even in the average or above-average range -- on nonverbal intelligence tests. Symptoms of autism typically appears during the first three years of life. Some children show signs from birth. Others seem to develop normally at first, only to slip suddenly into symptoms when they are 18 to 36 months old. However, it is now recognized that some individuals may not show symptoms of a communication disorder until demands of the environment exceed their capabili-ties. Autism is four times more common in boys than in girls. It knows no racial, ethnic, or social boundaries. Family income, lifestyle, or educational levels do not affect a child's chance of being autistic. Autism is said to be increasing; however, it is not entirely clear whether the increase is related to changes in how it is diagnosed or whether it is a true increase in the incidence of the disease.
