The Sculpture

In the impressionist sculpture the artists tried to reflect the light in their arts.

In the post-impressionist sculpture the artist tried to reflect their senses or their vision of the real world.

The best sculptor was Rodin. Rodin did the model of the

Impressionist sculpture.

The sculpture had not fished surfaces that, when the light shone there sculpture saw finished.

In this time appeared new forms of artistic expression:

Born the cinema in 1895. Edison invented the phonograph in

1878. Later appeared the gramophone. Born the music industry, in 1900 had

record stores in all major cities.

The Architecture

The development of the Industrial Revolution made possible that we could use new materials in the construction of buildings, like the iron, the glass, the steel and the reinforced concreted.

The symbol of the new architecture was the “Eiffel Tower”, in Paris.

Was in this time when born the skyscraper, with the elevators.

At the end of the XIXth century appeared a new architectonic style, the Modernism.

The architects of the Modernism paid special attention to the aesthetic of their buildings.

The Painting

The Impressionism painters, around 1870, tried to reflect the light effects in the pictures.

In the following decade, the post-impressionism painters tried to show their own feelings and their own point of view about the society.
