Bruno Oger is born on 9th of May 1966 in Morbihan. Passionnate about cooking since he was 12

years old, he decided to make a future career of it, and promised himself to one day work in a three-Michelin-starred restaurant. In 1983, he passed his Certificate of Professional Aptitude (CAP) and his Diploma of Occupational Studies (BEP), in Dinard hotel school in Brittany.

When he was 21, he had two job interviews the same day with two of the most prominent French chefs: Paul Bocuse and Georges Blanc. He will then honor the promise he made himself and will choose to work with Georges Blanc in his prestigious 3-Michelin-starred restaurant in Vonnas

en Bresse.

In 1989, Bruno Oger was offered by Georges Blanc himself to represent him internationally and to become head Chef in the Normandy, one of the restaurants Oriental Bangkok Hotel one of

the most beautiful palaces in the world. 15 cooks. In 1993, he came back to Georges Blanc as an executive Chef.

The day of his 29th birthday and the day before the opening of Festival de Cannes, will he inaugurate the restaurant « La Villa des Lys », high place of gastronomy for the finest palates. In 1997, he obtains his first Michelin star. Three years later, the Chef got the grade 18/20 and is elected Best

cook of the year by the gastronomic guide Gault&Millau.

16th of May 2003, he was awarded the the medal of "Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et Lettres",

by Jean-Jacques Aillagon, French Minister for Culture and Communication. In 2005, he picked up his second Michelin star. His talent and his inventiveness are recognized by

his pears and by all gastronomic medias.

the presence of Michèle Tabarot, MP and mayor of Le Cannet, and sub-prefect, Claude Serra. On February 28th 2011, only 10 months after the inauguration, the Chef gets two Michelin stars

for « La Villa Archange » and becomes part of Les Grandes Tables du Monde.

In March 2016, La Villa Archange has the honor to join the beautiful and great family of Relais &

Châteaux.

A document dating from this period establishes the presence of a stable, a courtyard, the chapel, a house, two orange groves, and an oil mill. In the beginning, there was only one property. Over the course of this century, the property had several tenants, including an American one prior to World War II, who restored the old stable and converted it into a house. This residence thereafter became Maison Cosmétatos through the marriage of Alice The separation of the estate was made more pronounced by the construction of a wall beside the Chavanne de Dalmassy house, the unhappy fruit of a disagreement between Mr. Cosmétatos and his sister-in-law. Mrs. Chavanne de Dalmassy took great interest in the culinary arts and even authored a cookbookcompanion, James de Coquet, was a culinary columnist for Le Figaro newspaper. Mrs. Chavanne de Dalmassy held onto the estate until her death, when it was passed on by bequest to the City of Le Cannet.

THE BASTIDE

The Renaissance of an ancient edifice

The Notre-Dame-des-Anges domain owes its name to the 16th-century chapel found on the site. The Chavanne de Dalmassy and Cosmétatos residences on the domain were most likely built in the 18th century. In 1820, the estate was the property of Jean Carbonel, great-grandfather of Alice Chavanne de Dalmassy.

The era of a new beginning for the estate

The A3 Studio architectural firm in Mandelieu worked in close cooperation with the national Architecte des Bâtiments de France - as, it must be remembered, the estate perimeter is a listed historic site. One year after laying the foundation stone on May 16, 2009, the Bastide opened to much celebration on May 7, 2010, with no fewer than 500 guests, including three-star chefs Georges Blanc and Anne-Sophie Pic Michèle Tabarot, Deputy Mayor of Le Cannet, and ex Cannes Film Festival President Gilles Jacob. The entire establishment represents 1,400m² of buildings on wooded grounds stretching over 5,000m², all just 10 minutes from Cannes on a main road well-served by public transport.

An authentic atmosphere where one like to meet up with the feeling of being at home. A unique place and yet multiple possibilities to eat and take the time to enjoy the moment strolling under the shades of the olive trees, and our centenarian trees, under the pergola or next to the water wall. The occasion to experience the Provençal « art de vivre ». The Bastide Bruno Oger divides itself in two different but complementary places, where French gastronomy takes the place of honor.

The Villa Archange: a two-Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant which preserves the remarkable and unique features of a private mansion, and all the charm of a guest house, whose decoration is bourgeois and delicate, with a view on a private inner courtyard shaded by centenarian trees.

The Bistrot des Anges: a chic and convivial Bistro to gather as a family or with friends around a traditional French cuisine with a twist. Affordable homemade dishes, that you can savour inside our main room surrounded by a canopy or under the pergola next to the water wall.

Bruno Oger and his Hélène wife wanted to add a cultural dimension to their establishment. Hélène Oger, a tremendous admirer of the works of Pierre Bonnard, whose artwork is found in the Le Cannet museum, displays her paintings inside La Villa Archange. Discover her art, inspired by her many trips, an ode to evasion and to women. Hélène Oger depict fragments of life, visions of a moment reflecting a destiny, searing feelings. Through her mixed technique of ink, acrylic, and collage, she lauds Women with a capital W.
