MEET JOHN BROTHERHOOD, OUR NEW HIGH SCHOOL & MIDDLE SCHOOL COORDINATOR! Hi there! My name is John Brotherhood, and I am the new High School and Middle School Coordinator here at Lumen Christi. I spent the later part of my childhood living in Mequon, and I graduated from Marquette University High School in 2017. I am currently taking time off from college
due to the pandemic, and I am very excited to be a part of the Lumen Christi community and get to know all of you. I also work as an aide at DSHA, so for any parishioners who are also DSHA families, I’ll see you at school! You will see me around the office, as well as at classes and events. If you ever need anything or if you just want to come say hi, feel free to stop by the office!

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY The Prayer Shawl Ministry of Women’s Circle of Faith is blessed to have many women who share their gift of needlework with those who are ill. If you have a friend of relative who would receive comfort from one of these shawls, please contact Kathy Shields at 512-8981 or [email protected]. They have been carefully sealed in plastic to be safe for the recipient.

ALL SOULS’ DAY 2020 On Tuesday, November 2 we celebrated All Souls’ Day with Mass, followed by a procession to the parish cemetery to pray for our faithful departed. Margaret and a few choir members helped lead the way with the singing of the Litany of Saints! While it is true that the Archbishop has not granted a dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass this Christmas, it is also true that the impossibility of attending Mass is itself a dispensation.

CHRISTMAS MASS 2020: THE LUMEN CHRISTI PLAN
• The Mass times are as follows: • Christmas Eve: 3 PM | 4:30 PM | 6 PM | 10 PM• Christmas Day: 7:30 AM | 9 AM | 11 AM
• reservations for Christmas Eve and
Christmas Day using a program called Eventbrite.
• People will be able to sign up for a Mass online beginning at 8:00 AM Monday, December 7. Those who reserve a spot will be mailed a ticket indicating where they are sitting — the church or St. Cecilia Hall
• Those who are not comfortable using the online reservation system will be able to callfor help reserving a seat.
• All Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Masses will be live-streamed. In this way, we hope that those who choose to stay home or are unable to secure a reservation will be able to stay connected with Lumen Christi from the comfort and safety of their home.
• No one will be admitted to Mass without a ticket.

God calls us to nurture and develop the gifts He has given us and then generously return a portion with increase. He doesn’t want us to waste or hoard the gifts He has given us. He expects us to grow our gifts, use them wisely and be generous with them. Unfortunately, many of us are not generous in proportion to all that God has given us.

TUESDAY EVENING BOOK CIRCLE All are welcome to join us! Our December 1st book for discussion is A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg. THURSDAY MORNING BOOK CIRCLE All are welcome to join the Lumen Christi Morning Book Circle on the third Thursday of the month at 9:30 AM for a Zoom book discussion. HYACINTH FOOD PANTRY The greatest needs for the Pantry at this time are: Rice (medium size pkg), Cereal, Peanut Butter, Size 5 & 6 Diapers, Baby Wipes, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Juice, Tuna and Canned Meats, Canned Vegetables, Pasta Sauce, Shampoo and used Suit Cases with rollers. Monetary donations are also accepted. Checks can be written to St. Hyacinth Food Pantry. For every $1 donated 10lbs. of food can be purchased. Pantry now open. Volunteers needed. Call Kathy Saiia with any questions (262) 242-1644. PRAYER SHAWLS Bring comfort to others by providing a tangible reminder of God's Caring. Knitted or crocheted shawls as well as pocket prayer shawls are given to people who are homebound or ill, to bring them physical and emotional warmth. MOMS IN PRAYER INTERNATIONAL The Moms In Prayer International group for college and adult children continue to meet every Monday 7-8 PM at Debbie Vredenbregt’s house, 2826 W. CHILDREN’S CLOTHING CENTER The Children’s Clothing Center will begin serving urban families during the 2020-2021 school year in a newly adapted protocol using each school’s social worker as the contact person. Pick up and delivery of filled requests will be provided by school designated staff. Ladies of Charity once again readily accept new and gently used kids clothing (think 4K-High School Senior) with drop offs welcome in the bins at the North (pillar) entrance of Lumen Christi.
