SOME PERTINENT SUGGESTIONSS Ocala FIa Aug 3 1909

To the President and Members of theCity Council of the City of Ocala

Gentlemen take this means ofcalling your attention to the fact thatsome months ago an appropriation-was made by your honorable body forthe purpose of defraying the expensesof investigating the feasibility of sup-plying

¬

the city of Ocala with pure andwholesome water and a committee-was appointed for the purpose of mak¬

ing all necessary investigation Sincethat time no report has been made ofthe progress of this committee I verymuch desire that the committee report-Its progress In order that steps may betaken for furnishing the city a supplyof such water-

I would also recommend that yourhonorable body seek some feasiblescheme by which a sewerage systemmay be installed for the city Andalong this line I would suggest thatas the drain on the west side of thecity Ig used largely as a drainage forthe city market that the same be cov-ered

¬

over and drainage rights be soldto such individuals as may desire them

Yours very truly-J
