Introduction • Rain Water Harvesting Programme (RWHP)- OSS • HH and institutional Support to DoE, DARD, DoH and NGO,s • Lead by DWA•Mandated to ensure availability of water in the Province• Provision of RWH equipment for Agricultural purposes• Provincial Task Team: sister Departments• Bi-monthly meetings

RWH 2014/2015 Planning & Approach• The KZN DWA Office’s approach is to link the RWH
programme to the Provincial Department’s of Agriculture & Education; and their “House Hold garden”& “Nutrition” Programmes, respectively.• Beneficiaries have also been identified through:
NGO application via National Dept. of Agriculture KZN Premier’s office.
Planning & Approach…
• KZN DARD- Districts ID needy 2013/14 HH garden beneficiaries • KZN DoE- District NSNP AD ID qualifying schools• Process initiated in March 2014• Lists submitted by KZN DARD 10th May 2014• Pre-verification to be undertaken between 22 May and 30 June 2014• Draft approach plan : 20 June 2014• PSC : 23 June 2014• Finalisation of the Regional IA by 30 June 2014
