OBJECTIVE

Desire a Challenging position as Process Engineer in Oil & Gas industry using experience gained in Refinery, LNG, & Petrochemical Plant.

EDUCATION

- Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Texas A&M University, Dec 2005 - (GPA: 3.64)- Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, Mumbai University, India, Jun 2003 - (GPA: 3.14)

EXPERIENCE

Senior Process / Project Engineer - Bechtel Corporation, Houston, TX March, 2006 - Present

Ten (10) years of versatile experience in Process FEED and EPC Design, Commissioning and Start-ups, Safety and Environmental Design of many projects related to Refineries, Gasification, Petrochemical and NG Liquefaction (LNG). Summary of Accomplishments (Role – Process / Project Engineer):

Developed PFD’s, P&ID’s & their associated LDT’s. Heat & Material Balance & Equipment sizing. Performed process calculations and prepared process datasheets. Proficient in Process Simulation Software HYSIS. Lead and coordinated P&ID internal and client reviews. Participated in the HAZOP / HAZID review and coordinated action items into P&IDs. Participated in the Model reviews, coordinated action items into P&IDs. Prepared and issued an Equipment List. Designed Relief and Flare systems. Developed Utility Balance, Chemical & catalyst list for overall plant. Coordinated all technical issues with other disciplines for assigned deliverables. Reviewed and Commented on the Vendor drawings. Developed Pump Summary and performed pump calculations which set final elevations of vessels

to meet NPSHR. Performed hydraulic calculations and select appropriate line sizes including two phase lines. Prepared Design Pressure Temperature (DPT) Diagram. Provided control valve, flow element, and other in-line instrument sizing data. Prepared a Specialty Items Index and their data sheets.

Summary of Accomplishments (Role - Environmental Engineer):

Identify environmental issues associated with site, permits, safety and environment, etc. Developed environmental design basis and criteria. Designed Raw Water Pretreatment, Potable Water, Demineralized Water, Cooling Water,

Wastewater, Sanitary Waste, & Spent Caustic treatment systems. Characterization of treated effluent from WWTP to final point discharge outfall.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Graduate Research Assistant (Thesis): 08/2003 - 08/2005

“Reduction and Immobilization of Hexavalent Chromium in Soil Column Reactors Using Membrane-Delivered Hydrogen.”Successfully Set-up Soil Glass Column Bio-reactors, Prepared Membrane Modules for gas supply, Monitored Operating conditions and maintained anaerobic condition in the columns. Characterized the spatial and temporal dynamics of chromate and nitrate reduction in soil column reactors supplied with dissolved hydrogen using gas-permeable hollow-fiber membranes.Determined the chromate reduction yield in soil column reactor supplied with hydrogen continuously.

Thesis Research Presentation at the Fifth International Conference, June 6-9, 2005, Baltimore. Thesis Research Presentation at a Battelle Conference on “Remediation of Chlorinated and

Recalcitrant Compounds” The Fourth International Conference, May 24-27, 2004, Monterey (California).

Thesis Research Presentation at a National Science Foundation Conference, San Antonio, Texas. Undergraduate (Project): “Design of Alkylation Unit.” 06/2002 - 06/2003
