Annual Production Sale at the Farm West of Universal, Indiana

HarvestThe

Sale

Page 2: Krieger Farms "The Harvest" Sale 2015

Welcome to our 5th annual Production Sale “The Harvest”. This year

we chose to expand our cow herd. We are keeping all of our first calf replacement

heifers. We offer you our nine Best Open Show Heifers, along with a Select handpicked

group of early calving Cows that have done well for us. We selected on phenotype and

to calve the early part of 2016. These Breds are Sound. They have to be sound to walk

in 100 acre pastures. They are bred to “Granite”. We have had great success calving

his calves. They come small, get up and nurse, and grow. Granite has been tested

Homozygous Black and Polled. In addition to the Simmental and Angus Cows we are

selling. We are offering you 81 Fall commercial cow-calf pairs or ready to calve breds.

The cattle business is really good. Our Cattle continue to excel in both the commercial

and show ring sectors. There is always a demand for good cattle. This is what our cattle

do. Our Herd Sires continue to produce our best calves. “Granite” with his low birth

weights, high growth and black baldy eye appeal. “Billings” works well on the broker

daughters. Be sure to check out his bull calf on Anna’s Red Baldy “Cinnamon”, her

Broker x Wonder from last year’s show season. “Maxed Out” is the sire of lot 7. The

calves out of this bull are exciting. Look for more of his progeny in the future.

As we put together this sale offering of Open Heifers, Jame remembers back on the day

Peter took to her to the pastures to see the new baby calves. Jame’s favorite comment

is “I like her. What is she?” Well it turns out these “I like her” will be finding new homes

as they are lots 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10A or 10B, & 11. At least we can keep Jame Happy

since we are only selling 8 choice heifer calf lots.

We are offering our Junior incentive, with two drawings for $250.00 credits in this year’s

sale. Check out our website for your Junior Cash

Back Incentives. We will gladly assist you with your

open show heifer purchase.

Please, join us for Lunch at Noon.

If you have any questions, about the cattle, please

call or text Mark or Peter.

Sincerely,

Mark, Jame, Anna & Peter

We guarantee all livestock sold as sound breeders. However the heifers that are shown can often be fed to an extreme level of obesity for the purpose of exhibition. Those heifers are often also not allowed to be bred in ideal situations do the priority of continually exhibiting them as well as often bred late to lengthen there possibility of exhibition. Due to this we will hold the feeder/owner responsible for any reproductive problems and no longer feel responsible to guarantee this individual. In the rare case that this was to occur, will still make an attempt to assist and try to help you breed this animal through the following two breeding seasons. Also all females are sold under the condition “safe in calf” as attested to by a licensed veterinarian and sell with no further guarantee. The ultrasound results reported are as accurate as possible but are not guaranteed. No guarantee is given that bred females will deliver a live calf. Buyer will be given a 24 hour option to have a licensed vet examine the female before she leaves the sale premises.

impressive with her working well in embryo transplant. “Empress” will

Wonder is our No Miss Donor. She flat works. Her natural Calf by Voyager “The Situation” is a strong herd sire at our farm. The Wheatland Stout, Upgrade, Broker and Granite sons and daughters continue to work well in our herd and for other breeders. Anna finished her Junior Show Career with her Red Baldy “Cinamon” by Broker. What is even more exciting is to see “Cinamon’s” calf by our Herd Sire “Billings”. Regardless of the matting you choose, Driver, Broker, or Granite you cannot go wrong. Put a little “Wonder in your herd”, you will wonder why you did not do it sooner.

This cow family has stood the test of time at our farm. She is out of one of Anna’s Favorite Show Heifers, better known as “T” at our place. Remember the Baldy face that looked like Phantom of the Opera? Yes this is her Mother. This cool face, clean fronted smooth shoulder, sound heifer will be another one to add to your list of wants. Her maternal sib is the dam of lot 9.

Snooki takes command with her stride and pose. This Cute Clubby is out of Anna’s Show heifer. You will have a lot of fun with this girl. Snooki C68 is a third generation show heifer. She is a fine example of how this cow family works.
