It could be for a variety of reasons. Background check may be required and needed if the government security department has need of it. Your employers are also following rules and regulations.
Background research may also be conducted to support and testify your job application because it will authenticate and confirm if all information indicated are all valid.

So background checking is to ensure that what your employer is getting is what you promised. It may also identify what is truly your educational attainment whether you graduated from high school or college and also if you have an excellent record on your previous job that will help them to decide for your application.
Information included in a background check depends on the employer. Before they could do the procedure, you must know what will happen because they’ll need your consent regarding this matter.
Employment verification is the commonly procedure that your employer will be requesting. It will include all the companies that you have worked for, dates of employment, job descriptions as well as the salary that you’ve been earned.
