We strive to be the heart of our commuity by building partnerships and providing our parents with information sessions that are planned based on a yearly survey. Our Nutrition Program and various athletics and arts-based clubs are some of the ways we support the Social, Emotional and Physical Needs of our students. Knob Hill Public School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school with approximately 500 students and 50 staff from over 30 countries and speaking 20 different languages. Since the brick building was erected in 1956, there have been several changes. In 2011, interior renovations gave us brighter, more modern learning spaces. Along with our newly designed library, there is a small community room where parents are able to access a parent lending library and a computer. Our Full Day Kindergarten classrooms are bright and inviting for our youngest learners, and our new Grade 7/8 suite is modern and houses a technology lab. When the lab is ready, students will use tools and machines to integrate technology with literacy, math, science and the arts. Knob Hill Public School Mission Statement Our Mission Statement was co-created with student, parent and staff input. We gathered ideas from each group, drafted a few different statements and chose this one as the best representation of our ideas and goals. Knob Hill Public School is a place where we recognize and respect our similarities and differences. We are partners in creating a safe, student-centered environment that is relevant to the needs of every learner and equips them with the academic, social, and leadership skills needed to become contributing members of a global society.
