WELCOME BACK!Welcome to a new school year and our first academic bulletin of 2015-16. We start this new year with excitement at the new opportunities in front of us and the new adventures we will be part of in this school year. I love being part of KISC and returning each year knowing that here is sure to be adventure ahead of us.This term our theme is Love, and our term verse is Luke 10:27. We are called to love God and love our neighbour, but what does that look like in practice? That is something we hope to explore this term throughout the school. We want to be a community of love, one that encourages love for each other, and love for the wider community we are part of here in Nepal. We want to love this nation, and also to love our God. Ultimately, to bear witness to Christ’s love through the excellent education we aim to provide at KISC. We are delighted to welcome David Hamer on board the school leadership team as our new Secondary Principle. I would like to highly encourage all parents to attend our Parent Information evening next Wednesday 12 August at 6pm in the hall. This is an essential evening in our journey together in supporting you and your children through their schooling. We hope that this evening will give you key information about KISC, our education and your opportunities to be involved. We also hope that it will give you an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, in particular their class teacher (primary) or homeroom teacher (secondary). Look forward to seeing you there!

A NOTE FROM THE PRIMARY PRINCIPALPrimary Parents, welcome back to a new school year! I love the beginning of school as there is so much excitement in the air and the possibilities are endless.Please join us for our assemblies during the week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:10-8:30 in the hall.I am excited about our new schedule for primary as I feel it will be beneficial for the students. Here are a few of the important things to remember:· We will start school at 8:10· We will end at 3:10, Monday-Thursday, with an optional dismissal at 2:10 if your child doesn’t sign up for a club· Friday dismissal at 2:10· Year 6 will not have the optional 2:10 dismissal on Monday and Wednesday· Clubs will run Monday-Thursday from 2:10-3:10

YEAR K IN A NEW LOCATION With the start of 2015-16 academic year, Year K has been alloted a new, larger space in the KISC Operations Building. They have several rooms on their disposal, including an outside playarea with a sandbox!

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONFinance Office has moved to the KISC Operations Building located behind the KISC futsal court, accessible from the KISC parking lot. The same building houses Human Resource Office, Development Director, Communications Office, KISC EQUIP and Year K.
