Junior and Intermediate athletics came3rd in the regional A

final!The Intermediate girls came 2nd in the

North Yorkshire round.

Both Junior and Intermediate athletic

teams qualified for the Regional A final!

The Intermediate and Junior boys teams became North

Yorkshire Champions.

George Davies came 2nd in the javelin

Josie Parry Qualified for the semi final in the hurdles

English Schools Athletics Championships

The year 7 girls won the Area Cross Country Championships

team event.

Matilda Everitt, Rebecca Wood, Katie Allwood, Alicia Brown went on to represent the Area

in the County Championships.

James Marshall, Callum Milburn and Nathan Barker

competed as a team schools cup

competition. They were our most

successful cross country team going to the

north east regional round.

Molly Webster, Millie Howard and Harry Brown were selected for

County Cross Country, with all competing at

National Finals.

Dodge ball hasbecome the most

popular activity on the PE extra-

curricularprogramme with 60+students attending

regularly!!

Matt Keogh & Callum Milburn selected for Leeds united.

Tom and Gaz Sowerby made it to county level where they were selected for

North Yorkshire schools.

Toby Lees has been picked for North Yorkshire.Lewis Barnard- Barnsley FC.

Year 7 Came 2nd in their area tournament.

U13’s Won their area tournament.

U14’s, U16’s, U19’s All won the county cup.

Year 9 girls areatournament got to

the semi-finals.

Some of the year 10’s and 11’s also contributed to the six form

team.

Hockey

Six form were runners up in Area tournament.

Year 10 Won their indoor tournament.

Year 10 A team came 3rd in the area tournament and the

B team came 1st in the area tournament and also came

1st in the League.

NetballYear 8 & 9 got to the semi finals in

the area tournament.

The senior girls finished 3rd in both the league and area

tournament.

The year 11 girls played really well in a high competitive year

group.

Jay Richardson’s was scouted for North Yorkshire rugby league.

Jonny Ashman was selected for North

Yorkshire rugby union.

Harry Fewkes, Bradley Thompson and Callum Beasley was selected for the North Yorkshire team.

Rugby

Nathan Barker was selected for the Leeds Rhinos team.

Year 9 were Regional champions and went on to be national

champions.

Year 11 reached the semi-final of

Yorkshire Cup.Greg Minikin, James Morland and

Matt Brewer were all selected for York City Knights rugby

league.

 Jonny Tattersall toured India

with the England Development Squad.

He is also involved with the Yorkshire Academy.

“All four of the KJS teams qualified for the Regional A final in athletics, the only school

in the North East to do so”

“In the Area Schools athletics competition KJS were unbeatable, winning the overall schools Final”

We can certainly hold our own in the area, we are breaking through at county level and in some sports we are even getting

there at regional level.

A number of talented pupils are now competing amongst the best in the

country!
