“There is something about the oppressed, the marginalized…. They can sing and when they do sing, they sing with all their heart and soul. At Wema Centre, we have identified music as a strong rehabilitation tool and source of joy and happiness to the many beneficiaries we work with.

Wema Centre strives to rehabilitate, educate and help its children identify and fully utilize their latent talents. With time, we have realized that of the numerous and special gifts that the children posses, none evokes more passion, excitement, happiness and togetherness than music. The children simply love to sing. The children sing not just about their past hardships and sufferings but about their liberation, ambitions and deepest gratitude to their supporters for their wonderful understanding, love and support.
