Kendall Givens-Little Named Director of Communications and External Relations Mr. Kendall Givens-Little has joined the Office of Institutional Advancement team as Director of Communications and External Relations. Mr. Givens-Little comes to us from Washington, DC where he worked in the communications and marketing fields. A seasoned multimedia and marketing professional with over 13 years of experience, Kendall is a native of Marion, SC. He matriculated at Claflin University in the fall of 2003 with a major in Mass Communications and was also a member of the Alice Carson Tisdale Honors College. He later received his MFA in Electronic Media and Film from Howard University in the spring of 2012. He has comprehensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of media production/marketing, including production management and creative development. Over the past eight years Kendall has been working in the Washington, DC area. He has produced short films, corporate marketing videos as well as content for the TLC channel, Discovery Channel, WHUT - Howard University Television, and Keppler Speakers. In 2013, Kendall's production company "DK Filmworks" released its first film entitled "Comeuppance." The film went on the be screened in over 7 film festivals around the country and won Best Short Film in the San Francisco Black Film Festival. Kendall's outlook on life is "Losing yourself in service of others is the best way to find yourself."
