Polytan were awarded the contract to provide the first dedicated, synthetic Rugby League field for Blacktown City Council to the new National Rugby League (NRL) Academy, set up in Kellyville.

Confidence was provided to all parties that our design, and recommended LigaTurf synthetic surfacing system, would meet the published NRL performance standards from a previous successfully tested and certified project, at the Moore Park Synthetic Field in Sydney.

The extensive line marking created a challenge to the operations and site team with close attention needed by our leading technicians. The challenge of the multiple ‘distance markings and numbers’ was resolved with lateral thinking and a specific methodology prepared by the experienced team.

The elite facility has now been established complete with administration area, club rooms, change and referee rooms, cafe, medical room and suitable storage. What an outstanding facility it is!
