Height and Stagger Gauge

The product allows the user to take height and

stagger measurements of the over head line

using a Hilti PD42 measurement laser. The laser

is positioned at eye level and features a 90º

viewing prism, enabling the operator to see the

desired cable and laser location marker at the

same time in all weather conditions including

bright sunshine. The rail head to cable height

reading is displayed on an LCD display, the value

is compensated for the height offset of the laser,

meaning that no on site calculation is required.

Cable stagger position is indicated on a scale on

the lateral beam of the gauge. The horizontal

beam folds down flat to the lateral beam for

storage and transport.

This gauge is subject to a 12 monthly calibration.

Bowthorpe Equipment

Bowthorpe Clamps and Wedges have

been developed to tension conductor

cables in overhead line systems. Used

with slings, shackles and lifting products

such as Lever Hoists and Tirfor

Machines, the conductor wire can be

installed to the specific required tension.

The Bowthorpe Wedge is an aluminium

clamp used for rigging of OHL

equipment; it comes in many styles

depending on wire size and what the

wire is made of. The Bowthorpe body is

an aluminium case that wraps around

the wedge and comes in 2 sizes. The

Bowthorpe pulling wire is used to pull

OHL wire, wedges and bodies cannot be

used without the pulling wire.
