Based on the integration of human and technologies and with

Keeping machinery running all over the world as our word to achieve our business goal

Eijiro Horikoshi | President LUBE Corporation

To help the precision equipment and parts manufacturers that form our customer

base in the 21st century to overcome the global environment problems they face today, we will continue to consider the relationship between lubrication technologies and our customer´s needs. To this end, we aim to continue achieving energy and resource savings through wear reduction and prevention and to maintain mechanical part

performance and stable machine functions, as advocated in tribology. We will give careful consideration to the various conditions in which precision machines are used around the world, and continue to verify in-house the convenience, reliability, and durability of maintenance conducted by using lubrication technologies. In doing so, we hope to be able to share our problem awareness with machine users and manufacturers throughout

the world, who provide support for basic industries, as if we were a single team.We have made it our mission to stick to the origin of value creation. In other words, we have determined to continue responding to the various applications of our worldwide customers and providing services that make our customers truly happy, while adhering to continuous improvement of the LHL® lubrication equipment and the LHL® system concepts.

LHL® – Lube Hybrid Lubrication

Performance Lubricants are used in very large amounts at the production facilities of machine tool users. There are also problems associated with the shortening of the life of mechanical parts caused by lubricant issues, for example the deterioration and decomposition of coolants and grease solidification. The LHL® system is LUBE’s proprietary system, which takes advantage of the benefits of both oil‘s liquid nature and grease‘s adhesiveness.

Ü Lubricating film becomes thinnest when rolling and sliding surface velocities are at very low speeds of close to zero. Compared to oil or conventional grease, LHL®-X100 special urea grease maintains a thick oil film even at low speeds, so preventing machinery wear arising from the loss of the lubrication film.

Fretting Resistance Test*

Ü LHL®-X100 controls metallic contact with excellent action similar to oil and film formation, thanks to its special urea structure and additive. Therefore, it can reduce wear of machine components even in lubrication areas with severe fretting conditions.

ÜThe stick-slip phenomenon can cause tool damage and a reduction in processing precision. LHL®-X100 inhibits the occurrence of this phenomenon as its fluctuation ranges of static friction and dynamic friction

coefficients are low and have small absolute values at all speeds. The LHL® system provides a significant boost to the maintenance of machine tool performance and the stability of machine functions.

LHL® – Lube Hybrid Lubrication

Cost Effectiveness

The LHL® system can greatly reduce lubricant consumption compared with that used by oil lubrication systems.

Climate protection

Ü The LHL® system‘s consumption is more than 90% lower than that of oil lubrication systems. The advantage is clear.

ÜOperational costs can be kept down by reducing the number of lubricant refills required. ÜReduced consumption of lubricant and power leads to reduced environmental contamination such as used oil disposal and CO

2 emission.

It also reduces oil disposal and CO2 emission.

Compared to an oil system on a machining centre, the LHL® system reduces lubricant consumption, power consumption and lubricant refilling time by roughly 80%. Reduced refilling time leads to reduced maintenance work. All of which adds up to less manufacturing cost.

The LHL® system is also eco-friendly. It decreases the number of times that lubrication needs to be refilled, consequently reducing power consumption. This also reduces the volume of lubricants disposed of, significantly curbing carbon dioxide emissions.

Provision of convenient lubricant storage and transfer for customers

Prevention of any deterioration in lubricant performance and properties as a result of the mixing of different types of grease

Prevention of mechanical part lubrication failures arising from the introduction of foreign materials or air bubbles during refilling from a pail can, etc

Realization of a stable supply of a lubricant best suited to mechanical parts and LHL® lubrication systems

Reduction in size and improvement in maintainbility and durability compared with existing equipment through a reduction in consumption power, the use of fewer parts, and parts standardization

Improvement of the system´s design while taking care not to impair the overall design of the machine on which the system is mounted

Improvement of handle ability for machine designers and users though reductions in weight and space required for the total system in combination with the use of LHL® lubricant

S series system concept

3D Piping diagram: We can make a three-dimensional drawing of a system kit for the lubrication system you adopt and deliver it as a data storage / system kit. This reduces the total cost of piping and installation work, and enables you to install the system more safety and securely without any trouble.

LRA Analysis for machine life extension: Fluorescent X-ray analysis (LRA-Analysis) enables real-time analysis of wear conditions of machine components operated at your production site. Based on the result of such analyses and abundant previous data, we understand the lubrication conditions that best fit your machines (in terms of environment and other conditions). We provide minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) information based on our findings.

Recovery: We provide service to recover used grease cartridges for users of “LUBE Original Cartridge Grease” to help protect the environment. For more information, please contact our sales staff.

Service concept

In cooperation with leading machine manufacturers and machine users Lube developed a new lubrication system matching the characteristic of Lube Hybrid Lubricant.

User´s Comments about LHL®

We had problems with mixtures of different types of grease. So, we think the dedicated cartridge for LHL® is a great idea.“

One of the advantages of oil lubrication is its good penetration between mechanical parts. We can expect the same penetration from LHL® too, since it has properties close to oil.“

” For machines used in environments exposed to water in particular, we have high expectations of LHL®´s sealing properties, an advantage of grease, and of the water-resistance of urea grease.“

Oil contamination around the machines and foul odors caused by oil contaminating the cutting fluid are eliminated.“

It has been 10 months since LHL® system was installed, and we´ve had no accumulation of grease waste or grease fixation problems.“

”Depending on the place where parts were at-tached or their direction, we had oil being washed away, which led to lubrication failures. Naturally, then, water resistance is also important.“
