PROGRAM OVERVIEWTeam Challenge is an endurance training program designed to raise funds to help find a cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Team Challenge trains novice and advanced participants torun or walk a half marathon over a 16-week period, culminating in a half marathon event at the Rock‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon on December 4, 2011 and the Napa-to-Sonoma Half Marathon inNapa Valley California on July 16, 2012!

What are Crohn’s and colitis?Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are painful, unpredictablediseases that attack the digestive system. Crohn's disease mayattack anywhere along the digestive tract, while ulcerative colitisinflames only the large intestine (colon). Some 1.4 million Americanadults and children suffer from Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis,with as many as 150,000 under the age of 18. Most people developthe diseases between the ages of 15 and 35.

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated tofinding the cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Our Federal Tax ID # is 13-6193105. Our mission: To cureCrohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
