Foundation Year
The first year at ALBA involved a foundation program. The program
revolved around basics: like drawing, sketching, clay modeling,
and visual language.
Visual Language
The aim of
these projects
is to create
shapes with
contrast. Each
composition
refers to a
certain sign
and meaning
Usage of Goache
Usage of China Ink
Drawings and Sketches
These
sketches and
drawings
were done
freshman
year.
They constitue
the basic
forms of
sketching.
Drawings and Sketches
First Year: Initiation to Architecture
The first year of Initiation, all of the projects were done by hand in
order to learn the basic application of rulers and Rotring pencils.
The core purpose was to learn how to design proper houses with
an innovative concept.
Khan of the Senses
A khan or
caravanserai
is a
traditional
souk in the
Arab world,
usually used
to sell soap
and perfume.
It is originally
an open air
market where
merchants
display their
goods for
sale.
The project is composed
of divided functions
connected with alleys.
All spaces are
surrounded with English
or French Gardens.
A Poet’s Sanctuary
The project
consists of a
villa for a
poet. The
house is
composed of
three floors
and blocked
by two
buildings on
two sides.I
divided the
volume into
cubes with
functions
isolated from
all sides.
Meeting the Modern
The project is
to choose an
architect of
the modern
era and
choose a
project he did
to understand
the design and
thinking
process. The
land was in
Niemeyer's
Tripoli fair,
and Eduardo
Souto de
Moura was my
choice. Museo
Paola Rego.
Second Year: Elementary
In the second year of architecture, projects are realized using programs
and graphic modeling. The projects were raised to challenge the
student into designing projects with steel structure and to create
futuristic buildings inspired by the architecture of today.
A Toll way
The project is
to design a
toll way on the
Beirut
Damascus
mountain
highway, using
tensioned or
trussed steel.
Dream House
My dream
house is a
project with a
theme of one’s
own dream
home. I chose
the Maserati
GranTurismo
as my source
of inspiration.
Low Density: A Tower
This project is
a multipurpose
tower. It is in
the Little
Armenia
Neighborhood
of Bourj
Hammoud.
Elevated
gardens
separate the
functions with
double height
openings.
Long Project: Municipality (Execution)
The long project
was the new
Beirut
Municipality on a
busy boulevard.
The building was
an ecology
center

Third Year: Studio
In the third Year of architecture projects are based on harmony between
functions and concept. Projects are judged from the technical point of view, in
addition to the functions and circulation.
Mina Amphitheater
The project is
an
amphitheater
on the coastal
neighborhood
in Mina,
Tripoli. The
design was
inspired by
the Tripoli
Souks design
and
Arabesque
carvings.
Mina Amphitheater
Three Houses on a Slope
This project is
about designing
villas for 3 member
of a family: the
mother- the
daughter who
happens to be an
artist and the son
an economist. The
execution of this
project was just
about making a
Model with an
open able ceiling
to take a look at
the inside walls and
partitions.
Long Project II – Residential (Execution)
The final project is composed of two parts: the Long Project II and the Interior
Architecture Project.
Long Project II – Residential (Execution)
The Second Long
Project was a
residential building
in the pine filled
neighborhood of
Badaro. The project
contained two
residential
buildings with three
types, and a
shopping center
below.

Interior Project - Altura
The Interior
architecture was an
organic food
restaurant – field
to fork type. The
concept was flying
surfaces creating a
journey through
space on the 42nd
floor of the Low
Density Tower in
Bourj Hammoud.

Analysis of Five Projects
A Shelter
The project was a
design of a shelter
for a family that
got stranded on an
island after a
plane crash.
The concept was
Buckminster Fuller’s
