Dear Members,
Eid Mubarak.
Eid ul Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice is just round the corner. Among several festivals celebrated by Muslims, Eid ul Adha is also one of the foremost festivals. It is also known as Bakr Eid where from older people to children enjoy the delicacies of food seasoned with hot spicy flavors. Barbeque aroma is mouth watering. Family get-to-gathers and social parties are at its peak.
In the club, we are witnessing members flocking at the fecilitation centre for the RFID cards, as from 1st Oct, even the Life members and Permanent members may also process their cards. Members are therefore requested to please visit facilitation centre alongwith two passport size photographs with copy of CNIC and get thier cards issued at earliest. Please instill habit of carrying card among your friends and family as it will soon be necessary for most of the activities in the club.
Last quarter of the year will witness a flurry of activity with all committees organizing their events before the year end. Political activity in the club too is witnessing some awakening and we aredue to have exciting elections once again this year.
Take care of yourself and your families.

KC Women Cricket Tournament
Even though Cricket is not the National sport of the country yet it is played by all and sundry and not to our surprise, our Women Team performs even better then our Male Team at the international competitions. Our Club too has its share of surprise by number of girls adopting to play cricket at the club level. To nurture this nursery of young cricketers, Amin Bawany, Cricket Convenor and his Committee organized an excellent Tournament on 14th September on the lawns of Main Club. The participation was very encouraging
and as many as four teams were formed to contest for the top honours. KC Black was led by Sania Jamali with Fatima Saifuddin as her deputy. KC Blue's captain was Farah Danish, while Anoshay Jawed Karim was Vice Captain. Third team was KC Red led by Javaria Salman, while Kainat Baloch assisted her. Lastly KC Pink was ably led by Khatija Jawed and Salima Jawed was Vice Captain.
The final was played between KC Blue and KC Red, where KC Blue scored 74 runs in 6 overs. KC Red while chasing the target were all out for 43 runs conceded the title to KC Blue.
It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.

Loose by a whisker - Sindh Open Swimming
It couldn't have been more closer - Karachi Club stood second by a lone point. This was 52nd Sindh Open and Junior Age Group Swimming Championship that was held on 28th and 29th September at Karachi Gymkhana. Top international swimmers from Karachi Club, Mazhar Naqvi, Hasan Paracha and Saad Amin put up a fine show to emerge as stars. Despite their heroic effort, Karachi Club were reduced to runners-up spot by barest of margins against Karachi Grammar School whose swimmers stole the cup by leading with one point. KGS ended the event with 238 points
against KC’s 237. Traditionally KGS fields a larger and strong team and Karachi Club would find it difficult to get near to their tally but with no less then seven records the KC team put up a sterling performance and lost narrowly. Highly talented Mazhar, who had recently represented Pakistan in the World Swimming Championship in Spain, dominated the open category by creating four new records in the four events he featured. Swimming prodigy Hasan Paracha was overall declared the best swimmer of the championship after securing 58 points in the two-day competition. Saad Amin of KC with 35 points was group champion of under-16 category. Aftab Hussain was the Manager ofthe team, while Adnan Ismail was the Coach.
A right judgment draws us a profit from all things we see.
