JULYSHEEP’S CLOTHINGCLASSES
Dive in to the world of slip stitch colorwork in this brand new class with Kate. She’ll show you one of the most clever and most simple ways that knitters have found to work with multiple yarns. You’ll work with many colors, but only one color at a time. She’ll show you the amazing variety of effects you can get with the simple technique of slipping a stitch. Your class project will be a drawstring bag that will work perfectly as a mini project bag.

LavandinBrenda York has designed this ¾ sleeved pullover for Berroco Yarns in their new spring/summer yarn, Corsica. This DK weight yarn is cotton with a bit of cashmere and comes in a soft, heathered color range. Three panels of lace on the front and back will keep the knitting interesting. You’ll do your garment shaping in between the lace panels to achieve the garment’s gentle A-line shape.

LintillaDebbie has been enjoying working through the designs by Martina Behm that are available on Ravelry and is eager to share what she’s learned with you. Lintilla is a shawlette with a ruffled scalloped edge. Debbie has sorted through the wisdom on Ravelry about working the ruffle and has added some refinements of her own to make working on this accessory piece even more fun.

Horseshoe Lace TopHorsehoe Lace is a traditional Shetland lace pattern. The secret behind many traditional patterns is that they really are very easy. You’ll learn to love this simple lace pattern while knitting the front and back panels. After you are comfortable with the lace, we’ll make the A-line side panels by adding extra stitches between lace repeats and gradually decreasing those extra stitches. This piece will give you practice in basic lace knitting, mattress stitch seaming, and an introduction to some simple sweater design principles.

Knits that BreatheJulie Turjoman is a knitwear designer with a mission to encourage knitters to knit garments that will keep them cool and comfortable all year long. Her book, Knits that Breathe, is full of designs that do just that. In this class you can make Iced Frappuccino, which has an A-line body shape with an airy, lacy circular yoke. Or choose Still Waters, a T-shaped piece with lace ventilation up the sides. Or choose any other design from Julie’s book of air-conditioned knits to work on in this class.
