In fact, many in the church wondered how they would make it without the one who had played for worship services for so many years. Sherry Upshaw was the new minister who was called. Following the retirement announcement by Elizabeth Hostetter, a Search Committee worked with Billy Orton to find the person who is best for our church at this time. The unanimous selection of the Search Committee, the Personnel Committee, and the Deacons leads us to present to you Sherry Upshaw. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday as I return from vacation to preach a sermon called, “Wonderful Words of Life: Grace.” Grace means gift. TEACHER APPRECIATION REFRESHMENTS

The parking lot in front of the sanctuary, daycare and chapel will be closed beginning June 11. We expect the paving in this area will be completed by the contractor in a couple of weeks, weather permitting.

In addition, the construction company has begun demolition to connect the two buildings on the first floor. Room 111 will not be available for use for an indeterminate

amount of time. The contractor will build temporary walls in the hallways outside room 108 and room 114 to protect the building from dust and to secure the building from outside access. Those of you who will be using rooms 107 and 108 will need to pass through the fellowship area behind the restrooms. In addition, the ladies restroom on this end of the building will not be accessible.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this causes. The contractor will work hard to complete this part of the project as soon as possible.
