returning your pledge card to the Rectory Office.

Dress Code We want to foster the greatest reverence and respect for Our Lord at Mater Ecclesiae. Our attire is an outward expression of our love for the Lord and shows how important He is to us. It is also a sign of our respect for the House of God. Therefore, one should always wear their “Sunday Best” to Mass: modesty, good taste and common sense should prevail. Accordingly, the following rules apply:

• NO SHORTS, EVER, FOR MEN, WOMEN OR CHILDREN.

• Women: No revealing clothing, low necklines, short skirts or bare midriffs. Please dress modestly with dignity and self-respect. We strongly suggest that women wear a head covering.

• Men: No tattered, soiled work clothes, old jeans or gym clothes. Please wear “business or business casual attire” to set a good example for our young men and boys.

“A Holy Hour before the Most Blessed Sacrament so pleases the Heart of Jesus, that every man, woman and child on earth receives a new effect from God’s goodness and love, all because of a single hour of adoration in His Presence.”

~Saint Faustina

An Invitation… Father Hartman and Father Pasley offer Holy Mass on most, if not all, Mondays and Fridays for the residents/patients at Camden County Health Services Center and Virtua Health and Rehabilitation Center, respectively. We invite you to help in wheeling the residents to and from Mass. No obligation or commitment is required; it is just a matter of going to the facility (Blackwood or Berlin) on any day you are free to help us. For more specifics, dates, times, directions, etc., please contact Father Hartman. Thank you!

“Scutum Fidei"

(a Latin phrase meaning "Shield of the Faith")

This weekend on Trinity Sunday, we recite the Athanasian Creed.

The diagrams above vividly illustrate the teaching of Catholic Doctrine of the Holy Trinity by St. Athanasius

from the Nicean Council in 325 AD:

“...there are not three almightys, but one almighty: thus the Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is

God; and nevertheless there are not three gods, but there is ONE GOD. “

Mater Ecclesiae Council #12833 meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month at 8:00

PM in the Knights Room. The Scriptural Rosary and Prayer for Vocations are said at 7:30 PM in the Church. New members are welcome. Visit their website: www.KofC12833.org.

The New 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly Anima Christi No. 3294 meets on the 3rd Monday of the Month at 8:00 PM following the recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 PM. The Assembly is the 4th degree arm of the Knights of Columbus and performs the color corps duties at Father Pasley’s bequest. All the 4th degree members of Anima Christi are members of our K of C Mater Ecclesiae Council and this Parish.

Scriptural Rosary

The Mater Ecclesiae Knights of Columbus Scriptural Rosary is now available on the Knights' website. You can download the PDF file from the homepage or the "Prayers" page. You can go directly to www.KofC12833.org or follow the link from the Mater Ecclesiae website.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

on Friday, June 15, will be celebrated at a 7:30 PM Choral Mass. This is our last Choral Mass of the Spring Season, so please make a special effort to join us! The Sacred Music program here at Mater Ecclesiae presided over by Fr. Pasley is truly unique: it keeps alive a treasury of Catholic Music which is rarely, if ever, heard in the Church today. Thank you once again to all of the musicians, donors and parishioners who make this possible. The beauty and rich tradition of centuries of Sacred Music live on here at our little parish!
