Thank you to everyone that participated in the firstNashville Branch virtual meeting. We had over 70attendees to hear Paul Degges (TDOT), Rodney Chester(Gresham Smith), Chris Gwaltney (Lipscomb University)and Michael Rankin (Crane Construction) speak on "Lifeafter COVID-19." We will continue with virtual meetingsin June and July. Save the date for the Awards Dinner tobe held on August 19. We will recognize our awardwinners (recognized in the May Level Line), scholarshiprecipients (recognized in the April Level Line), and ournewest Life Members (recognized below).

I want to mention the outrage and heartbreak that I feelabout the attacks and violence against people of color. Iwant to reiterate the Unity message that ASCEleadership has distributed. It states "As a community ofglobal leaders dedicated to the safety, health and welfareof the public, ASCE is committed to maintaining thehighest standards of integrity, fairness, dignity andrespect for all. These tenets form the very foundation ofour Society, embodied in our Code of Ethics that includesequitable and fair treatment of all persons as afundamental canon.
