As of this writing the Board still does not have clear information to share with you as to when all Colony Cove amenities and social activities will be opened and what that will look like. The month of May started with the opening of a number of beaches in the state with varying restrictions. May also saw the opening of select retail businesses and restaurants with seating restrictions. We understand that the Colony Cove pools will be opened by the middle of May but the restrictions are still unclear. While we would all like life to resume back to where it was pre-COVID, the reality it will not for some time so hang in there. The Board is putting a lot of thought into how to best resume Friendly Social Club activities while continuing to protect the health of all residents. Communications about future events and activities will be posted on the Friendly Social Club website and Facebook page first and then in the following month’s Breeze. Please stay safe and healthy until we can work through this, and do take time to safely reach out to friends and neighbors to make sure they continue to be in good physical and emotional health. The effects of social distancing and isolation is taking its toll. A friendly face and encouraging word does make a difference.
