Youth & Family Ministry [MS Teens: 7th & 8th graders, HS Teens: 9th-12th graders]
• Please join us for the Teen Year-End Banquet at the Lake Terrapin Clubhouse (15107 Diamondback Rd. Woodbridge, VA 22193) on Friday, June 15th from 6:30-8:30 pm. We will take time to honor the seniors, welcome the incoming 7th graders, and have some great fun to kick off the summer! The cost is $11 per person that will cover the catered dinner, cake, and beverages. Please remember this event is only for teens and their parents only -- no younger siblings please. All parents, send Alexia any pictures that you have to share in a fun slideshow. **Senior Parents** please send THREE pictures: baby pic, young pic (like middle school) , senior pic. Each senior will have an opportunity to share, and the parents of seniors will also have an opportunity to share. Open Gym Basketball TODAY directly after service from 12-2pm in the gym at Freedom HS. We are testing the waters to see the response and participation of the open gym basketball — Great fellowship, great reach-out, and great exercise!
Missions Yard Sale THIS Saturday: God's grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales, and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need. -Acts 4:33-35 Just like the disciples in Acts, who sold their own possessions in order to serve those in need, the Potomac Valley Church will be hosting a yard sale to raise money for our Missions Contribution. On Saturday, June 16 at FCS, Stafford from 6am-11am we'll be taking the opportunity to declutter our homes, meet our neighbors in the community, and most importantly raise funds that will meet the physical and spiritual needs of people all over Virginia and the world! Like all family events, we need the family members to make it a success, so here's a list of ways that you can help:
• We need items to sell! If you have anything you'd like to have sold at the yard sale, please bring either Friday night, 6/15, to FCS between 7-9 pm OR arrive at FCS on the 16th between 5:00AM and 5:30AM with your items. Please make sure your items are clean, functioning, and/or complete.
• Volunteers! Setup crew, cleanup crew, money-handlers; people to man the tables and make posters. Volunteers would need to be at FCS at 5:00AM We need about 15-20 people, and definitely will not turn anyone away if we have more. Father’s Day Outdoor Worship Service/BBQ NEXT Sunday, 6/17, at Curtis Memorial County Park (58 Jesse Curtis Lane Stafford, VA ). Service will begin 10 am at Pavilion 7. Please bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and lawn games (there’s plenty of space). Children’s Ministry will be provided through Kindergarten. The BBQ will begin directly after service and the church is providing the main dish of fried fish, pulled pork, and/or beef hot dogs as well as water bottles. Please coordinate within your family groups to bring sides, desserts, and any additional beverages you choose to complete the meal — enough to feed your family group. Canopies and folding tables would be beneficial for your family group to set up your food. If you have any questions, please contact Bruce Facundus at 571-221-1011.

HOPE for Kids Camp Maintenance Help Needed: Camp needs those who are Skilled Volunteers to come help at camp, July 5th-7th. Skills Needed are: construction, remodeling, plumbing, electric, roofers, mechanics, handy people, etc...but anyone who is willing to help make camp better is welcome.
