In addition, they will be responsible to assist in the supervision of Division staff, participating in the review and approval of engineering & development applications, budgeting, supports the maintenance of the Drinking Water Quality Management System, RFP’s and special projects. The preferred candidate will hold a Degree/Diploma in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering together with certification at the Technologist level by the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists combined with a minimum of 7 years related municipal experience. Holding a Class 2 Water Distribution and Supply License and a Class 1 Waste Water Treatment License would be an asset. Advanced skills in managing within a unionized environment, report writing, project management and superior interpersonal skills are required. The successful candidate must ensure a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism, along with superior client service skills at all times. Demonstrated knowledge in engineering and environmental services, policies and procedure development, subdivision and site plans and local government functions/responsibilities are essential along with a valid class “G” licence. This bargaining unit excluded position offers a salary commensurate with experience and education. Bonita Glen Girl Guides Camp Plaque Unveiling

Celebrate two of the women who helped Guiding in the early years. Join us in the unveiling of a plaque remembering Blanche Hodgins, the original “Bonita”. She was Toronto District Commissioner from 1923 to 1936 and was instrumental in purchasing the fi rst “Bonita Glen Camp” in King City in the 1920’s. She was also the organizer of Ontario GGC Cookie Days in 1929. Her daughter, Estelle Wishart, will also be recognized. Estelle was a Guide Leader throughout the 1920’s. She became Toronto District Commissioner after her Mother and went on to become National Commissioner from 1948 to 1954. An Open House will be hosted by the 1st Bonita Glen Trefoil Guild and a BBQ will be held with proceeds going towards items for the camp.

That’s the science, the mystery of the elusive worm whisperer – and that could be you! Join us for a full family event like you’ve never seen. This is a country fair with a difference!

Bessie Bingo, games for the kiddies, food, refreshments, live entertainment, and prizes for the champions. There are also small animals for the kids, big and little, to see and feed. Sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, peacocks, and Tom the turkey. Be sure to visit the Gift & Craft Barn too. It will be full of vendors with a great variety of items from fresh home baked goods to sterling jewellery, home made crafts and more. Contact us if you would like a table at this event.
