Term 2 Week 10 Dear parents & caregivers What a term it has been!! We are looking forward to a settled return to school next term (Tuesday 21 July) for a full term of work. The teachers are working hard to address the gaps in student learning due to the COVID19 timeframe and especially for those students who sadly did not complete any work while they were at home. DISMISSAL TIMES: From next term all children will be dismissed at the usual time of 3pm. Parents need to observe the social distancing requirements and if you come into the school grounds please wait along the ramp. Children will still leave via the car park gate. PARKING : Please do not park in the Bus Zone and the Drop off and Pick up zone as they are what the signs say. You cannot arrive 20 minutes early and park there to wait for your children. If you come early, park further up the road and walk down to meet your child. CANTEEN: TERM 3 The canteen will operate as normal only on WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS and FRIDAYS during Term 3. The canteen will be open in the morning so children can place their orders in the mornings as per usual. MOVIE MUFTI DAY : FRIDAY 3 JULY 2020 To celebrate the end of term and to raise some funds for the Year 6 Farewell at the end of the year, we are holding a MUFTI & MOVIE Day on Friday. Please wear sensible warm clothing and bring $2 to donate to the Year 6 students. ASSEMBLIES: We held our small Stage Gatherings last week and the children and the staff appreciated the fact that we could celebrate achievements. The class items have been uploaded to Google Classroom for the parents of the children in 1/2C and 4/5M to view. Photos of the children who received a Gold Award were sent home last week. Once again parents and carers, thanks for your support and understanding this term. The teachers are happy to be back. The children are fine, all happy to be back at school learning and being with their friends. Explicit hygiene practices and social distancing of adults are firmly in place. Have a great holiday. STAGE 3 parents We are still not sure about the school camp to be held towards the end of the year. We have been told that permission will be reviewed next term. There will be an EOI in week 1 next term gauging parent opinion about this and whether you want your child to attend or not if the restrictions are lifted. The cost will be about $360. Please give this some thought over the holiday break.
