If you think this summer is hot you should have been at the National Laser Tag Tournament held at Shotz in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The brush fires were nothing compared to the heat that Extreme Dump Truck on Fire would bring to the national tournament. Wow, more new members. The Summer League will start the playoffs July 16th. and Colorado.

The three day 16th Laser Storm National Laser Tag Tournament started on July 6th. Eight teams put their best players together to determine the best team in the country. Two Pennsylvania teams joined players from Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Utah and Colorado. After a two day triple round robin, Extreme Dump Truck on Fire from Laser Storm Pittsburgh would be seeded in first place. Colohio from Ohio would be seeded second and Premonition from Xtreme Laser Storm Robinson would seed 3rd. The award for the most base hits went to Zalgax. The Most Player Hits and Most Points Earned title went to Red Dog. Both players are from Pittsburgh

The double elimination tournament was then ready to be played to determine which team would become number one in the nation. The first upset happened when the Honey Badgers knocked out Colohio allowing Black Ice from Colorado to advance to battle for 3rd place against Premonition. The experience of three national titles would not be enough to prevent Premonition from the win setting the stage for the final game between two Pennsylvania teams Extreme Dump Truck on Fire and Premonition. After playing each other all year in the Regional Tournaments, both teams knew the strategies and technique that the players would employ. Premonition would advance early in the game but could not hold as Extreme Dump Truck on Fire would eventually over power them for the win. Congratulations to captain Matt “Red Dog” Mator, Amanda “Dancer” Mator, Dan “Llama” Condrin, Jeremy “Kirby” Gabriel and Joe “Zalgax” Danielewicz. We have wanted a win in Colorado for more than 10 years. Mission accomplished.
