Life was made really easy when The Garden God-dess (a.k.a. Kathryn Star Heart) showed up with spade and shears in hand. Our little jungle out front has been tamed into a lovely, manicured garden.
We have Balcony Seats!
Yes, it’s true.. after 4 hours round-trip, 5 young backs to unload us, and 6 Advil between us, we have all the pews safely installed inside. Now to decide on the fabulous new upholstery for them!

We are making our way toward our grand opening this fall with Boundary County Community Theater’s presentation of “No Cure for Love, an Electric Romance” written and directed by Paul Rawlings. Stay tuned as we steadily
bring a community theater to life!

July 23 - 3rd Annual Chamber BBQThe Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce is thanking our members and the community for their support
by having a BBQ at the Visitors Center! Please attend our Chamber business meeting from 11:30-12:00 to receive your BBQ meal ticket, all others will be encouraged to leave a donation for their lunch. The BBQ will start at noon. We will be serving hotdogs, smoked sausages, chips, and drinks. This will be a great opportunity to network with the community! 208.267.5922

August 6 - Mountain Fest IIThe fun kicks off with activities for the kids starting at 1:00 p.m., followed by an afternoon youth stage event featuring Mark Thompson and the Strength Team. The day culminates with an evening main stage event featuring Mark Thompson, the Strength Team, and a full concert by the Gatlin Brothers. The main stage event will also include a message of hope from Mountain Springs Church Pastor, Garrett Graupner. Mountain Fest II is presented by Mountain Springs Church and will be held in the fields next to the fairgrounds. The event is free and open to the public. Call Jason Steffan at 208.267.7777.

August 13 - 2011 Women’s Outdoor ClinicHeld at the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge at 287 Westside Road, Bonners Ferry. Topics include firearm safety, survival, fly fishing, shooting, map and compass, archery, hunt preparation, and game care (field dressing a big game animal). Cost is $5.00 and includes coffee, snacks, drinks, and a barbecue lunch. Clinic runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

August 20 - Run For The Fallen Opening Ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 7:45am; then participants will disperse to their designated leg of the event and they will walk, run, or ride a bike or horse. Upon completing their leg(s) all participants will gather at the last two legs to jointly honor the POW and Survivors legs of the event. Closing Ceremony will be at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.
August 27 - K-9 Karnival and 5K Fun RunCourse starts at the fairgrounds and goes along the beautiful Kootenai River, open to people and pets! For more information contact 208.610.9062.
September 3 - Farmer’s Market Garlic Festival8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Bonners Ferry City Parking Lot. If you love garlic, you’ll love their gar-lic festival!

Join us at Ponderay Garden Center (PGC) for the Marketplace Concert Series featuring 4 hours of concert music performed live on our outdoor stage overlooking our 4000 sq ft lawn. Enjoy the live music, wander and shop at 15 farmers market style booths nestled in with our ponds, waterfalls, and streams and enjoy some great food from Earth Rhythms Restaurant and beer, wine, or coffee from Monarch Coffee. The Market opens at 4pm, the music starts at 4:30 and runs until about 8:30.
