Please go to our website and read our policy that will be in place for this year! Join us ladies, In John 15:11 Jesus tells us “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” Go to www.heartjmj.org for some memories and sign up! Because we feel it is important that you know how and where your donations to Helping Hands are spent, here is what was done in the past week: Rent 27 families $ 30,018.10 Transportation 1 family $ 441.34 Total $30,459.44
Helping Hands of Midland 1301 Brinson Lane
(432) 520-8900
To Whom It May Concern: I have long appreciated what Helping Hands does for our community. I am sure a lot are in need now, so I wanted to help. A portion of my customers’ payments during a period of time was set aside for a donation (customers were made aware and have been thanked). It got a good response, so it is likely that we will continue conducting such a collection regularly. For now, please accept the enclosed check of $246, thanks to my generous customers. Thank you and all the volunteers for all you do! Cody Westway Window Cleaning (432) 813-2853
And we thank you so much, Cody, for that generous donation. Yes,
times are pretty hard right now and every dollar we get is deeply appreciated by those who receive assistance from us. This past Monday we met with 11 people in need of rental help. Nine of those people were out of work temporarily due to being quarantined due to COVID (and yes, they all had medical proof). Most of them had been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID, and they were not allowed to go back to
work until they tested negative for the virus. In many cases it takes at least two weeks for results to come in. That is two weeks with no work, and no paycheck. Because it is JUST two weeks, and because their jobs are still
secure, they do not qualify for any financial assistance from the government, and of course, they do not receive pay from their employers. Our hearts go out to these people, who are just as victimized as those with
the virus. We will continue to help as many people as we can, for as long as we can. The need is certainly great, with no signs of easing up. And again, as always, we thank you for your continued generosity that allows us to help
as many as we do. God bless you all!
