Daily Mass One of the great blessings we have at Prince of Peace is daily Mass. Plan to join us for this wonderful opportu-nity to hear the word of God and receive Jesus in Holy Communion. Mass is at 8 am on Mondays, Wednes-days, and Fridays, and 5:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s a great way to celebrate your faith with other members of our parish family.
Knights of Columbus Congratulations to our Grand Knight for 2020-22, Dave Meyer. We wish him well and pray that his leadership meets the goals of the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Churches in Camanche and Clinton.
Consecration to the Holy Family The Knights urge parish families to devote themselves to the ideal model of familial love set by Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
Holy Family, We consecrate ourselves and our family to you.
May we be completely united in a love that is lasting, faithful, and open to the gift of new life.
Help us to grow in virtue, to forgive one another from our hearts, and to live in peace all our days.
Keep us strong in faith, persevering in prayer, diligent in our work, and generous toward those in need.
May our home, O Holy Family, truly become a domestic church where we reflect your example in our daily life.
Amen.
Join the Knights No matter what stage you are in your life, we are all on a journey together. Join us as role models in a world that needs men who lead, serve, protect and defend. We in-vite all fathers to join the Knights of Columbus in fulfilling these roles through faith in action. For further information about joining the Knights, contact Steve Mangler at 242-0508 or [email protected] or Dave Meyer at 249-1416 or [email protected]. New members are always welcome!
Knights of Columbus Meeting The Knights of Columbus will meet this Monday, July 13th, at 7 pm at St. Boniface Church. Please note the change of location.
Planned Giving Have you considered remembering Prince of Peace in your will or estate plan? A bequest is a wonderful way to express gratitude to God for a life of faith and blessings. Contact Dave Schnier at 242-3311 if you have questions about making a planned gift.

A Prayer for the Family Vacation Loving God, bless this family as we begin a time of fun and relaxation together. Protect us, be our compan-ion, and ever-loving presence. Guide us safely as we travel, help us bring the best of who we are as a family to the places and people we will visit. Lead us on, Lord, to a healthy and holy time together. Grant that we may return to our home renewed and happy. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Don’t Say You Can’t Afford a Catholic Education
Until You Check Out Our Parish School Most people who believe they cannot afford to send their children to Prince of Peace Catholic School are surprised by how affordable tuition can be after financial aid. The parish and school are committed to doing all that is possible to make it possible that all of our parish children wanting to attend our parish school, can attend our parish school. To apply for financial aid or ask about our high school transfer scholarships, contact Karen Witt at 242-1663.
Sunday, July 12 - The Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
In today’s Gospel from Matthew, our Lord
shares the Parable of the Sower who scatters
seed on many different kinds of land. This is a
wonderful analogy for the stewardship way of
life, demonstrating the slow and steady, yet
powerful effect this lifestyle will have on those
who fully embrace it.
In this parable, some of the seeds land on a
path where birds carry them off before they can
begin to take root. Other seeds land on rocky
ground with little soil. As soon as things begin
to heat up, they get scorched and die. Then
there are seeds that land on soil cluttered with
thorns which choke the seeds just as they are
beginning to grow strong.
Finally, there are seeds that land on deep and
healthy soil. These seeds produce abundant
fruit.
This is where the stewardship way of life
comes in. When we give the best of our time, talent and treasure to serve God and
others, we create lives filled with that rare “good soil” needed for the Kingdom of
God to thrive.
How does this happen? Stewardship living removes the “rocks” of mistrust from our
lives as we develop an unshakable faith that God will always provide for our needs. It
clears away the “thorns” of worldly ambition that make us self-centered, fill us with
needless anxiety and stifle our focus on God. Stewardship living requires a deep reli-
ance on the Word of God and the sacraments which continuously nourish and fertilize
the soil of our lives.

During this difficult time, pray for an end to the spread of the coronavirus and for all
healthcare workers and those personally affected by the virus. Please remember to prac-
tice social distancing, covering coughs and sneezes, and diligent hand-washing.
O Mary,
you always brighten our path of salvation
and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, health of the sick,
who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain
while remaining steadfast in faith.
O loving Mother, you know what we need,
and we are confident you will provide for us
as at Cana in Galilee.
Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician,
for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable,
and for those who have died.
Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and
safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick
and seeking a cure.
Help us, O Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows,
so as to lead us, through the Cross,
to the glory of the Resurrection.
Amen.
Under thy protection we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God.
In our needs, despise not our petitions,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
(Adapted from the prayer of Pope Francis)
A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION
IN TIME OF PANDEMIC
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
