RESERVATION FOR ACCOMMODATION

Hotel reservations can ONLY be made through the Organizer on a first come first served basis. Hotel reservations must be made before June 10, 2015. Full payment must be paid by bank transfer to the account of MJA before June 20, 2015 (Bank transfer account please refer to the below information).

According to the new IJF rule enacted on the December 2, 2012 in Tokyo “the Organizing country should not request fee penalties for countries which cannot make bank transfers but can pay in cash money upon arrival. On the other hand, they should inform well in advance the organizing country and specify the number of participants before the deadline”. Cancellation fees: up to 30 days before the arrival, full refund. From 30-10 days before the arrival 50% of the payment. After the July 10, 2015 any cancellation of rooms reserved or no-show will result in 100% of the charge of the hotel costs that must be paid by the National Federation. Cancelations of the rooms cannot be made at the check-in. Injuries, visa problems or sickness are not valid reasons for cancellation of rooms.


IMPORTANT: All damages to property of hotels or venues resulting from the stay of a national delegation shall be charged to their federation and paid in full. 6. LAND TRANSPORTATION The Organizer will provide free of charge land transportation for competing delegations from and to Macau International Airport and the official hotel.

7. INSURANCE Each National Federation/Association will assume all responsibility for accident and health insurance as well as the civil liability for their competitors and officials. The Judo Union of Asia, the Organization Committee of the JUA Cadets & Junior Macau 2015 and Macau Judo Association will not be responsible of any illness, injury and death, of any participants/officials whatsoever. Nevertheless the National Judo Federation/Association staging the JUA Cadets & Junior Macau 2015 shall take all necessary actions to provide insurance coverage against civil liability for the entire duration.

8. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION (a) Preliminary Entry by number: NO LATER THAN MAY 10, 2015. (b) Final Entry and Questionnaire: NO LATER THAN JUNE 10, 2015. (c) Hotel Reservation & Payment: NO LATER THAN JUNE 10, 2015. (d) Hotel Payment: NO LATER THAN JUNE 20, 2015. (e) Travel Schedule: NO LATER THAN JUNE 20, 2015.

9. CONTROL OF ENTRIES AND ACCREDITATION The control of entries and issuing of accreditation cards will take place at Royal Hotel: * Thursday July 23, 2015 from 09:00 to 21:00 Number of accreditations for officials:

a) 1 – 4 competitors : 2 officials b) 5 – 9 competitors : 4 officials c) More than 10 competitors: 6 officials


(1) Each Federation / Association may enter TWO (2) competitor in each weight category. (2) Each competitor can only enter either CADET or JUNIOR. (3) The Organizer can enter FOUR competitors in each cateogory.

10. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

Each National Federation may enter 10 entries in total for male competitors and 10 entries for female competitors. The total delegation of both men and women is a maximum of 20 athletes.

Note: A. Competitor can only be entered in one weight category B. Only entries of National Judo Federations – IJF members will be accepted

Age: 1. CADET:

Boys and Girls must be 15 years old or above and under 18 years old (must be born between 1998 and 2000)

2.JUNIOR:

Men and Women must be 15 years old or above and under 21 years old (must be born between 1995 and 2000)

Reminder: For competitors under 18 years old, the final entry must be countersigned by their parent(s) / guardian(s).

11. COMPETITION RULES a. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the latest IJF SOR and IJF Refereeing Rules. Especially refer to the New Uniform IJF Tournament System Quarterfinal (last 8) repechage. b. Weight categories: 1. CADET:

• Boys: -50kg, -55kg, -60kg, -66kg, -73kg, -81kg, -90kg, +90kg • Girls: -40kg, -44kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, -63kg, -70kg, +70kg

2. JUNIOR: • Men: -55kg, -60kg, -66kg, -73kg, -81kg, -90kg, -100kg, +100kg • Women: -44kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, -63kg, -70kg, -78kg, +78kg

c. Duration of contest: BOYS/MEN & GIRLS/WOMEN four (4) minutes (real time).

12. REFEREES Each participating countries may enter TWO (2) referees at maximum. Referees must have IJF International or Continental Referee License. The hotel expense would be covered by the organizer for the referees who come with the team. The referee meeting will be conducted on July 24 at 15:00 in Hotel Royal.


13. WEIGH-IN Athletes are not allowed to weigh-in naked. Boys must wear at least underwear and girls at least underwear and a T-shirt. Additional 100g will be allowed for their weight category limits. Athletes must present accreditation card and his/her passport (National ID Card showing nationality and date of birth are also accepted).

14. DRAW a. The draw will be conducted at 16:00 on 24 July in Royal Hotel b. Each National Federation must send a delegate to attend the Draw, a maximum of three (3) delegates per National Federation (2 officials and 1 athletes’ delegate) will be authorized.

15. JUDOGI CONTROL a. Approved Judogi: All Judoka must compete in IJF Approved Judogi (supplied by one of the following manufacturers: Greenhill, SFJAM NORIS, DANRHO, MIZUNO, Double D Adidas, HAYAKAWA, Fighting Film, Budo Sport AG, ESSIMO, MATSURU B.V.).

b. Judogi Control: It will be operated with a Sokuteiki prior to the fight. Judogi must have an IJF Official Label “APPROVED JUDOGI” with an optical code which cannot be falsified. The label can be controlled with an optical lamp. Each of the competition clothing articles (jacket, trousers and belt) must have an IJF official label.

c. Backnumber : Each competitor taking part in the JUA/IJF events is obliged to have sewn on the back of his Judogi the official IJF backnumber bearing his surname and his National Olympic Committee abbreviation. The backnumber can be ordered from www.ijfbacknumber.com or www.mybacknumber.com (Attention: production and delivery takes around 4 weeks). The SPONSOR part (if needed) will be given to the head of delegation during registration, and the athletes can stick it themselves using the special glue on the back number.

d. National Emblem: Athletes can have their national emblem on the left front part of the jacket within a space of 100cm2.

16. COACHING Code of behavior of coaches as defined in the Sports and Organization Rules, Annex 4 will bestrictly observed, inclusive the Dress Code. - Coaches are not allowed to give indications to the competitors while they are fighting. - Only during the pause time (after matte), coaches will be permitted to give indications to their athletes. - After the pause is finished, and the fight continues (hajime), coaches will have to keep silent again. - If a coach doesnґt follow these rules, they can be expelled from the competition area. - If the coach persists with this behavior from outside the competition area, they could be penalized .


17. ANTI DOPING CONTROL The gold medal winner and one of the key medalists in each category of JUNIOR will participate in doping control.

18. AWARDS AND PRIZES 1st Place – Gold Medal with Diploma 2nd Place – Silver Medal with Diploma 3rd Place – Bronze Medal with Diploma 5th Place – Diploma

19. VISA

Except for nationals of the designated countries, applicants can apply for visas at any PRC embassy, consulate or representative office. However, we suggest that applicants submit applications in the countries in which they reside. For any support, Please send your passport copy and flight schedule to the Organizer’s email 6 weeks earlier before the competition. National Flag: Each National Federation / Association is required to bring two (2) National Flags (120 X 180 cm) and National Anthem (short version in cassette) for the opening ceremony.
