Course Learning Outcomes:  1. Explain in detail the concepts, principals and instructional design model for educational technology. 2. Discuss critically the application of instructional media in teaching and learning with reference to various relevant resources. 3. Develop creative and innovative instructional media to achieve effective teaching and learning in groups.  4. Interpret current issues and trends in educational technology for the teaching and learning process.   Project for the learning outcomes 1, 2 and 3. 

    

Project Objectives:

1. Apply instructional design for teaching and learning 2. Graphic explains about the use of media in teaching and learning 3. Produce teaching media 4. To reflect on the experience of producing each project. 

Project Tasks (100%)

The high dropout rate among Orang Asli students resulting in educational attainment are poorer than the national average. Only 30% of Orang Asli                                             students completed secondary school, which is less than half the national average of 72%. Compared to the national average of 87%, only 61% of                                               students decree Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) pass the core subjects in the UPSR. SK 35% were in low­performing school band (Band 6 and 7), compared                                               to only 1% of public schools (pp. 4­21, PPPM 2013­2025). 

 The second wave (2016­2020) these reforms will be focused on improving learning outcomes and curriculum standards for all indigenous and other                                         minority groups using a specially designed intervention. Using data obtained from the data management process improved, the Ministry will provide                                       support to states and districts to develop specific intervention programs and provide assistance according to the needs of diverse communities of                                         indigenous and other minority groups. In Wave 2, this will reduce the number of SK Orang Asli residing in Band 6 and 7 to zero, and refocus on                                                       improving the standards of all SK Orang Asli. The Ministry will also undertake a pilot study and launch ICT education program for creating                                             interactive content and relevant curriculum that is culturally indigenous students, and increase access to high quality learning materials to                                     students in rural areas (pp. 4­23, PPPM 2013­2025).  Based on the above statement by the Ministry of Education intends to integrate ICT in teaching and learning through the construction of an interactive                                               curriculum content and cultural relevance in terms of indigenous students.      

Task 1: Individual (100%)  In implementing individual academic writing on the infographic.  Specifications assignment:  

a. Describe detailed concepts, principles and instructional design model in educational technology, b. to apply concepts, principles and models of instructional design, c. qualities are highlighted 

 Task 2: Group (100%)  Developing a multimedia product for PdP  Specification assignment:  Build creative teaching media and innovative in groups to achieve effective teaching and learning. Media tells of teaching and learning environments that                                           include SK Orang Asli, 

a. write a script that contains the audio and video portions of characters and narrative b. audio recorded conversation as voice­over and narration c. combine photos and videos d. contain background music and sound effects e. within 5 ­10 minutes 

 Task 3: Individual (100% )  Implement academic writing about media teaching 

Assignments Specifications: Critically discuss the use of media in teaching and learning with reference to various relevant sources include, a. Critically explain how the media can help learning, teaching Aboriginal students. Among the arguments put forward appropriate examples                                   

to support facts and data specified by reference.      

Project Implementation Guidelines 1. This assignment is individual and group assignments 2. Scripts audio recordings, video clips and writing scripts reflection should be typed according to the following specifications: 

a. Font : Arial 11 b. Distance between lines : 1.5 

3. Length of essay writing between 3­5 pages. 4. The resulting video clip should be sent on CD / DVD.  5. Poster, audio recording script, the script video clips and CD / DVD of video clips delivered with a neat format and include the details the following:

6. Generated project must be original. 7. The practice of plagiarism is not allowed at all. 8. This assignment brought a score of 100% with a weighted value of 50% of the course. 

 Assignments good must show the following criteria: 

1. Overall processing show the authenticity of the product. 2. Ingredients teaching aids produced must comply with the principles and the basic layout of the chart. 3. The ability of creative thinking and innovative in the planning and organization of the learning process for producing graphic sketches, audio 

recordings, photos and video clips that are very compatible with the standard of learning is selected. 4 . Writing the essay should demonstrate language proficiency, maturity argument in translating information analytically.
