THE ORDER OF WORSHIP 12TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

THE FIRST NOTE OF THE PRELUDE begins our worship. Please use the prelude time to turn your attention to God’s presence

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: When forces in the world threaten us, when our bodies or

spirits turn against us, there is One who seeks us, One who

meets us, One who heals us, whose love washes over us

and sets us free for joy. This One is the Lord. Come, let us

worship God.

*Children’s Time

For younger children, care is provided in the nursery during the remainder of our worship time. A single youth volunteer may be needed. Please ask the adult nursery personnel if a youth is necessary.

P: Holy One, God most high, grant us faith to confess our sins and

seek your mercy. There are barren places in our lives where we

have wandered far from you. We have listened to voices who

distracted us from your call. We have submitted to powers

competing for our loyalty to you. We have not taken the hand

you offer to lead us out of godforsakenness, and into your holy

ways. God our Savior, forgive us. Quench our thirst for you from

the Rock of our Salvation, and let your love well up in us unto

eternal life.

ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

SHARING THE PEACE

L: Since God has forgiven us, let us also forgive one another. The

peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

P: And also with you.

L: Let us share our forgiven joy with one another.

HYMN OF ASSURANCE #581 GLORIA PATRI

Glory be to the Father,

and to the Son,

and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning,

is now, and ever shall be,

World without end. Amen, Amen.

POOL WILDLIFE POTLUCK PICNIC – JUNE 30TH Please join us for a potluck picnic lunch at Pool Wildlife Sanctuary

(Wildlands Conservancy) following the outdoor worship on Sunday, June 30th. Our theme for the lunch is Summer Salads.

Please bring one of your favorite summer salads to share. In order to provide a variety of salads, the Fellowship Committee respectfully requests that members and guests with last names beginning with:

A to H... bring a pasta salad, I to O... bring a fruit salad, and P to Z... bring a vegetable salad with protein.

The Fellowship Committee will provide iced tea, lemonade and water to drink. Large coolers with ice will be available to refrigerate your salad while we worship.

We are also looking for volunteers to help set up before the event and clean up after lunch. If you are willing to help, please contact Dave Wilson ([email protected] or 610-351-3274).

SEEKING FELLOWSHIP HOUR HOSTS Have you ever considered hosting fellowship hour, but are unsure

what’s involved? Well...now is the time! It’s very easy, only take a little time, and you will enjoy it, while making others happy too. Grab a friend and host together! There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the entrance to Fellowship Hall, where you can see available dates. Contact Amy Waters at 610-762-1686 [email protected] if you have any questions, or need assistance getting started!

BOOKS AND CDS A donation of books and CDs, and more... was received this past

week. The items can be found on a table by the Have It, Need It bulletin board in the hallway. These items are there for the taking. Please help yourself.

Faith Life SUNDAY, JUNE 23, 2019

“In Christ Jesus, we are all children of God.” (Galatians 3:26) Welcome to worship as we celebrate such good news!

We hope you’ll join us following worship for beverages, snacks, and fellowship.

WORKCAMPERS! Faith’s Workcampers are less than 3 weeks from camp!! The Dog

Tag Sale, our most important fundraiser of the year, is underway. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. If you would like to sponsor a camper, and have not been contacted by one, you can sign up there. Checks should be made payable to Faith Presbyterian Church with a memo of WORKCAMP. Dog tags and devotions guide will be available for pick-up/distribution at worship on June 30th.

The travelers will meet at Faith Presbyterian at 8:00AM on July 6th. There will be a brief 8:15 AM commissioning/send-off service and they will depart for camp at its conclusion. Family, sponsors, and church members are invited to the send-off service.
