Meet Our Midwives:Kathy Philbin, CnM, MSn, MBa, is our amaz-ing Director of Midwives for Ob/Gyn Specialists of the Palm Beaches, P.a. Kathy was a labor and delivery nurse for 15 years before getting her CnM 11 years ago. Kathy gets a tre-mendous number of referrals from patients who find her solid, dependable, caring, well educated and extremely knowledge-able. and with five of her own children, she’s got more than just medical expertise…she has practical experience. Dana Jacobs, BSn, CnM, was educated in new york and worked at some of new york’s finest medical centers. She has more than 22 years’ experience as a Registered nurse and 15 years as a Certified nurse Midwife. She has extensive

experience as a prac-titioner in high-risk as well as low-risk pregnancies. Dana’s patients love her upbeat positive nature saying she’s easy going, un-derstanding, well educated, practical,

Anne Jeffries, MPH and CnM, has six years’ experience as a nurse Practitioner and over 13 years as a Certified nurse Mid-wife. and she is in the process of earning her PhD in Public Health. anne has worked intensely within healthcare with women and children who are identified as “at risk.” anne is a clinical preceptor for Florida atlantic University graduate students and has been teaching Obstetrics and Gynecology to nurse Practitioner students since 2005. anne speaks English and Spanish and our patients find her to be committed, experienced, gentle, incredibly generous and spiritual. Athena Atkinson, CnM, holds a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing and a Master’s of Science in Public Health. She’s been a Midwife for 27 years
