What is the International Astronautical Congress (IAC)?
The world’s premiere global space event: The IAC is the one time of the year opportunity when about 4,000 space actors come together.Global, multidisciplinary, and covering all space sectors and topics, it offers everyone the latest space information, developments, contacts, and potential partnerships.
The IAC consists of a scientific program and a space exhibition – the place where the space sector showcases its latest developments.
It’s the key event to meet and discuss with major space agencies worldwide and the best opportunity to build international networks.
Each year, the IAC changes country, theme, and local organizer.In 2018 Team Germany is looking forward to welcoming you to Bremen!
About the IAC
Why Bremen?
The extraordinary accumulation of space-related organizations makes Bremen one of the major space centers in Europe.
It is home to global players like OHB SE and Airbus Defence & Space, as well as to internationally renowned research institutes such as the DLR Institute for Space Systems and the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) with the Bremen Drop Tower.
With its extensive space sector, Bremen offers the perfect platform for business opportunities and networking activities.
Who can exhibit at the IAC 2018?

Everyone of the global space sector is welcome to participate in the exhibition and the congress.

IAC in Bremen
The venue Bremen is an exceptionally comfortable conference city.
Flight connections to Europe’s main airport hubs guarantee a quick and easy access. Located right in the heart of the city, it is just a 15-minute tram ride to the congress venue and the downtown area.

The exhibition concept The Exhibition Hall has a central position. It is located between the
Central Area (main service area) and the DLR Hall where plenary events, highlight lectures, and all ceremony events will take place. Since access to the plenary events is only possible through the exhibition, it will foster a steady stream of visitors.
In order to create a dynamic atmosphere and to transform the exhibition into a central meeting point we plan to set-up lunch facilities, coffee break areas, lounges, and internet cafés within the exhibition. The integration of the student zone and start-up area will also draw a lot of delegates to the exhibition. In the Exhibition Hall participants as well as exhibitors will find comfortable working space, a place to rest and first and foremost a place to meet with peers.
The sum of these measures will guarantee that the exhibition will be highly frequented during congress week.

Price per m² of exhibition space: € 525,00 + VAT.
15 % discount on booth space for IAF members.
Due to its size the exhibition hall offers enough space to accommodate booths of different sizes, various types of exhibits, forums for networking, receptions, and other events.
Including:
3 exhibitor badges for the first 9 m² of space rented and one pass for eachadditional 9 m².
Additional exhibitor badges cost € 250,00 (VAT included) each.

Visa requirements
European citizens do not require a visa to enter Germany.
For all non-EU citizens the Federal Foreign Office provides detailed on-line information on visa requirements for entering Germany.
The local host supports the visa application of all registered participants with a letter of invitation.
