January 29, 2015 Dear Georgia Music Educators and Guests: It is my pleasure to congratulate the Johns Creek Chamber Orchestra on this invitation to perform at the Georgia Music Educators Association’s annual in-service conference. We are proud to know Johns Creek is one of two high schools in the state to receive this year’s prestigious invitation, especially since it is the second time since the school opened five years ago. This is truly a testament to our young students’ talent and skill. On behalf of the Fulton County School System, thank you for the opportunity to showcase their skill and abilities. Led by Director Young K. Kim, the Johns Creek Chamber Orchestra is part of the exceptional performing arts program enjoyed by thousands of Fulton County students. The Fulton County School System has been recognized for 15 consecutive years as one of the Top 100 Communities to Live for Music Education, and the outstanding music programs at Johns Creek High School are one reason Fulton County has received this national acknowledgement for so many years. The students you witness today are not only fine musicians, but they also are esteemed scholars. They represent the top students not only in their school, but also in the Fulton County School System. The students’ dedication to their studies, as well as their music, makes them well-deserving of this invitation to perform. They spend countless hours in the classroom and the orchestra room to become such well-rounded, inspirational, and talented young adults. Thank you for honoring the Johns Creek Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Fulton County School System, with this wonderful opportunity. Sincerely,
Robert Avossa, Ed.D. Superintendent
