Pedestrian Access / Public Transportation

• Put posters in the alleys of limit, try to corral alleys so that children can play, without risks, ride a

bicycle.

• [sidewalk] Cracks, gaps- people fall around the school; More light, [there’s a] lack of security,

strange people; lack of accessibility; Want more parks; [she] wants more buses; would like

benches; A lot of trash on some of the lots. On top of the bridge (Rappolla St.) trash and

mattresses are dumped there; Lack of buses plus nearby markets; More security - thefts (cars,

houses, tools).

• The streets and sidewalks on Rappolla 800 and 700 block; Pot Holes; Less Traffic; Better

lighting, very dark in the evenings; Parking for the school.

Traffic Calming Measures

• More information on the safety of children at road junctions.

• Easy in and out of the neighborhood

• Safety, parks, and traffic; Big mall, park

• Crossing big roads, conditions of some houses, [reduce] rodents, and [reduce] drugs;

Concrete issues / broken sidewalks (Tolna and elsewhere) ; Dumping trash near the rail

tracks - slowing motorists - more handicap access sidewalks; [too] narrow roadways

• [Reduces] speeding cars and trucks up and down the 600 Oldham St; [no] gangs ; Get rid of

drugs; [remove] rats

• Parking correctly, not double parking on one ways

Traffic Calming Measures

• People drive too fast on these very small streets, especially Fleet St. from Macon St. to Oldham

St; Only traffic safety on the streets. There are people who have been assaulted during the day

• 1. Cars running at too much speed on such small streets; 2. drunken people leaving the nearby

bars creating problems in the street.; 3.Many assaults and battered people are being unsafe;

Bars - eliminate them and in their place would put a playground for children with courts of all

kinds.

• The congestion on Rappolla St and Faith due to the school drop off. The plans actually say

major congestion on Rappolla, but do not plan to eliminate the issue. The streets and side walks

are uneven, a lot worse with the amount of large trucks. The amount of trash and disregarded

items, and people leaving cases of broken beer bottles where we walk our dogs and same route

for kids going to school. Would that be more police presence, scheduled dumpsters, cameras

with fine warnings? I would love to see a dog park or city to put somewhere for people to put

dog waste. Sad to say I do not feel as safe walking in the neighborhood anymore with increase

in crime. Hopefully there will be better lighting around the school as well.
