- 385 Route Miles of Track Serving 125 Stations in New York and Connecticut. Second Largest Commuter Railroad in the Country.

- In 1983, Metro-North assumed the control of passenger rail responsibilities from Conrail.

- May 17th 2013, there was a main line high speed collision between two opposing trains at Bridgeport, CT resulting in 70 injuries.

- May 28th 2013, Track Supervisor on an out of service track was fatally struck by a train in West Haven, CT.

What Brought Us To The C3RS Program?

- December 1st 2013, a Hudson Line express train derailed at Spuyten Duyvil Station in Bronx, NY resulting in 4 fatalities and 61 injuries

C3RS Implementation :

- IMOU finalized on September 16, 2014

- PRT Staffing finalized in December 2015

- C3RS Training Program instituted for all PRT members in January 2015

- C3RS Employee Roll Out Mid April 2015

- C3RS Management Roll Out Early April 2015
