John Cona Operations Management Experience

Approach: Global Operations and “Business Side” Program Management (PMO) experience is enhanced given direct, hands-on, and long Software Development and Enterprise Architecture technical background.

Specific expertise and project work include the following: Business Process Reengineering, Controls, Chain of Custody for Evidence,

Gear, Decedents and Body Parts, and reorganized operations (workflow, auditable processes, systems) for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in NYC as part of Enterprise Data Management and Analytics initiative.  This work was done under a Homeland Security Grant.

• Creation and leadership of PMO for Enterprise Analytics for Prudential (includes MDM, Process, Data Stewardship, and Platform Engineering), with oversight of operations for all predictive data analytics projects, line of business verticals, and enterprise groups (35+ people, $20MM budget)

• Management of Operations for retail bank IPO business at Sandler O’Neill, establishing data and CMS (content management) processes, research, compliance, and software development integration.

• FannieMae: Core team membership (of three) and executive operational oversight of Enterprise Managed Services (the “Factory”, including the enterprise cloud, “XaaS”, SOA, MDM and reference data management for the firm). Directorship of “factory operations” and BI/metrics catalogue for opportunity and demand management, standup, estimation, capacity and resource planning, strategic sourcing, testing, delivery, infrastructure, and maintenance.

• Analytics Manager for digital media marketing and app usage data provider, entailing business process implementation in support of API and service development.

• Itemize/Barclays. Operations and Product Development oversight for eReceipt / Digital Wallet initiatives, including workflow for machine learning (CRF, Mallet) and human enhancement and QA processes toward physical receipt OCR.

• Direct Marketing and Fulfillment Operations for bulk print and mail facility. COO/CTO duties for data processing, graphic design, software development and throughput, and ROI/EVA executive measures under ITIL and Cobit controls of machine floor.

• Additional experience in operations at many other smaller groups per resume.

• Note:  Of recent experience, Prudential, Questrade, and NBC/Universal also had major components of operations and product development as part of general PMO.
