ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION (2)
Job Title: Program Assistant Supervisor: Debra Adams, Vice President of Programs and Services
Responsibilities: Assist program staff with special projects, health fairs and maintaining and creating community/client databases. This position will provide the opportunity to be a part of each program area. This will provide a diverse and rich experience over the course of the internship.
Specific Job Duties: Assist program staff with updating resource & support group
lists for the Dallas Chapter.
-Represent Alzheimer’s Association at Health Fairs and other
community events along with other team members.
- Assist in creating a client/email database program services.
-Attend support groups with staff members to help collect
data and meet with clients and facilitators as needed.

Supervisor:
Responsibilities: This position will research, compile, and produce for publication an Annual Report document highlighting the impact of volunteerism at the American Red Cross – North Texas Region. This document is intended to share stories of volunteerism, provide both output and outcome measurements; demonstrate the personal benefits of volunteering for the American Red Cross; show the impact of volunteers on Red Cross clients; translate volunteerism into financial growth/savings for the organization; recognize the influence of Red Cross volunteers and employees on the larger metropolitan volunteerism community.

Review the current template of the Annual Report on Volunteerism and make suggestions about how to enhance the report
Collect and synthesize information to reflect the impact of volunteerism within the parameters of the defined report contents.

Specific Job Duties: This person will work closely with our learning center directors to develop goals and objectives for the program. The assistant will also develop weekly themes for summer camp and create daily and weekly schedules of activities for each age-level.
Schedule: The internship is 35 hours a week (Monday through Friday, 9:30am-5:00) beginning June 11 – August 3, 2012. The intern will attend the camp for four days a week for a six week period. Employee hours at summer camp, at present, are from 12 noon to 4:30pm, Mondays –Thursdays.

There will be exposure to our crisis intervention model (abbreviated crisis intervention training), so the intern is able to understand our reason to be, our approach, the database needs from the caller and volunteer perspective. Also, general agency-wide experiences so they are acquainted with CONTACT’s broader services and workings. Staff meetings, other appropriate meetings, dealing with other staff members as needed, etc will all work to build a true intern experience that will build their own skills and appreciation for the non-profit world.

Jubilee Park Community Center (1)
Job Title: Athletics Coordinator
Supervisor: Anna Hawkins, Volunteer Coordinator
Responsibilities: The Athletics Coordinator is responsible for implementing athletic
curriculum for students in grades Kindergarten through 5th
. The Athletic
Coordinator will lead physical education class for each grade-level (20
students per grade). Physical education classes will occur before noon. In
the Afternoon, the Athletics Coordinator will serve as an Assistant
Teacher in one of the classrooms and will assist the Lead Teacher by
conducting healthy living lessons and supporting students in completing
their work. The Athletic Coordinator will also work during Jubilee’s
“Day of Champions” football camp where he or she will support camp
staff in implementing athletics and team building lessons.
Specific Job Duties: -Serve as the Lead Teacher for all Jubilee physical education classes. This
involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating physical activities for
students in grades Kindergarten through 5th

-Work with Jubilee’s Education Curriculum Coordinator to determine the

prepared by the Athletics Coordinator fit appropriately into Jubilee’s
healthy living goals for each grade level.
