Hello my name is Vicenta and I went from a Kindergarten TA at a catholic school to Administrative Assistant at Jesus, Shepherd of Souls. This position has given me great appreciation for people like Ms. Crystal, Ms. Pat, Ms. Mary, Ms. Maria, and so many more that have serve the parishes now known as Jesus, Shepherd of Souls. There is so much to do, so many loving hands doing it and so many more needed. Many are enjoying the opportunity to share and learn new things as we come together, I know I am. I learn something every morning whether I listen to a sermon from Fr. Pat or Fr. Luis. Even at my Saturday morning confirmation class full of young minds and hearts for Christ, I learn so much. I want to say thank you to all of you who were patient when teaching me and to all of you with an open mind and heart to listen to my thoughts.

Hola, mi nombre es Vicenta y pasé de una clase Jardín de Niño en una escuela católica a Asistente Administrativa en Jesús, Pastor de Almas. Esta posición me ha dado un gran aprecio por personas como la Sra. Crystal, la Sra. Pat, la Sra. Mary, la Sra. María y muchas más que han servido en las parroquias ahora conocidas como Jesús, Pastor de Almas. Hay tanto por hacer, tantas manos trabajando con amor y muchas más que son necesarias. A medida que nos unimos, muchos están disfrutando la oportunidad de compartir y aprender cosas nuevas, así como yo lo estoy. Cada mañana aprendo algo nuevo sea escuchando el sermón del Padre Patricio o el Padre Luis. Incluso en mi clase de Confirmación del sábado por la mañana, llena de mentes y corazones jóvenes para Cristo, aprendo mucho. Children's Choir Saint Augustine said: “He Who

Sings, Prays Twice” we have a group of young children coming every Tuesday to practice their singing, because they want to participate in our Eucharist celebrations. *Next practice is on

Tuesday February 4th, at 6 pm in St. Andrew School.

Coro de Niños San Agustín dijo: "El que canta, ora dos

veces", tenemos un grupo de niños que vienen todos los martes para practicar su canto, porque

quieren participar en nuestras celebraciones Eucarísticas. *Próxima práctica será el

TRIVIA NIGHT OUT

The first Trivia Night Out of the new year and the new decade was held on Jan, 11th at Our Lady of Knock. Six teams braved threatening weather to compete and the Logisz and Sajn family team continued their winning streak of first place finishes in a closely contested match. Congrats to them and thanks to those who attended and helped. A good time was had by all and proceeds benefited the parish. Our next Trivia Nite Out will be March 7th. Study up.

The Community Meal : Wednesday at 4 pm and Sunday at 3 pm

God opens His fount of Blessings for us and here in our parish we have the opportunity to share those blessings with the less fortunate of our community. The Wednesday and Sunday Community Meals help us to offer a hot meal to a group between 35-40 members of our community. The Wednesday meal is possible thanks to the generosity and service of the team that runs and organizes it since 3 years ago. Now we have the Sunday meal that existed at Saint Victor Parish for more than 30 years. The Sunday meal is possible thanks to the different institutions, churches, and groups of families that provide and serve the food.

*We need volunteers to provide and serve meals. If you would like to take a Sunday please contact the office for more information.

La Comida Comunitaria: Miércoles a las 4 pm y Domingo a las 3 pm

Dios abre su fuente de bendiciones para nosotros y aquí en nuestra parroquia tenemos la oportunidad de compartir esas bendiciones con los menos afortunados de nuestra comunidad. El programa de la Comida Comunitaria de los miércoles y los domingos nos ayudan a ofrecer un plato de comida caliente a un grupo de entre 35 y 40 miembros de nuestra comunidad. La comida comunitaria de los miércoles es posible gracias a la generosidad y el servicio del equipo que dirige y organiza cada comida desde hace 3 años. Ahora también tenemos la comida comunitaria todos los domingos que ha existido en la parroquia de San Víctor por más de 30 años. La comida dominical es posible gracias a las diferentes instituciones, iglesias y grupos de familias que proporcionan y sirven los alimentos.
