FAIRFIELD ACADEMY NEWSCongratulations goes out to our most recent early Academy graduates for the Class of 2016: Mikayla Sexton, Nick Snelbaker, Shelbie Dennler, Brittany Stewart…..Way to go!

Do you know where your child stands for graduation credits and post-graduation plans? The end of the first semester is January 8th. Students should have finished or be very close to finishing their semester courses in PEAK. Please encourage them to work hard and put in extra time, outside of their session, to reach this goal. Feel free to call 858-7600 if you have questions or want to check on their progress.

Inclement weather – It’s that time again when the weather may force a delay or closing. When FCSD is on a 2 hour delay, the AM session at the Academy will be cancelled. There is a limited number of days in which this session can be cancelled before students will be required to attend additional days at the end of the school year. You will be notified if extra days are required. If a session is cancelled or school is closed, students should still log in from home to keep pace. This is one advantage to online learning!

The next conference date for the Academy is Thursday, February 11th from 3:00 – 6:30. Call 858-7600 to schedule a time.

Seniors, have you ordered your cap and gown, paid your fees, and turned in your Senior picture? Check with Mr. Chilcote ASAP.

PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONSDuring the February conference night (Thursday, February 11th), the guidance department will be presenting two parent information sessions. At 5pm, we will offer a presentation on Advanced Standing / Dual Credit classes offered at FHS through Cincinnati State. At 6pm, a session will be offered on Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO). Both presentations will take place in the Community Room at the High School. If you have any questions, please contact the guidance office at 942-2999.

Your diploma says Miami University. Your degree says you made a wise choice.
