Looking Good! They moved over New Years weekend and, after a hectic three days, were open again for business on Monday! Arlie and Lynda McMichael would like to invite everyone to stop in and take a look at JRs Party Store new location, new building on Highway 2 West in Glasgow. It is spacious compared to what they had to work with before and will provide them the opportunity to expand business, which is definitely in the plans. I think Glasgow will be glad to have a store like this, Arlie said of the addition

of many more novelty items on the horizon, such as Halloween costumes and other seasonal shopping ideas. A selection of fine cigars could also be making an appearance in the future. The new location has a very comfortable atmosphere and is well organized to make your shopping experience a breeze. Stop in and check JRs Party Store out, if nothing else just to look around and say Hello to Lynda or Arlie or Lee or Tom. As stated already, always a comfortable atmosphere with the likes of these lovable characters.

  • Gotta be in it to win it! Go anywhere in Glasgow that sells Powerball lottery tickets Agland Co-op, Albertsons, Ezzies Midtown, Hangar, Holiday, Reynolds Market, Sagebrush Lounge & Casino, and the Stockman Bar and youre gonna see someone at the cash register with the sole purpose of purchasing some tickets. After all, it has grown to a record seven hundred million or so dollars!!! And youre seeing people buying these tickets that admit they normally dont play the lottery. So, if more folks than expected buy into the frenzy which could happen given the record-setting prize the pot could be even higher. (As if when its only worth $40 million, thats simply not enough to gamble on?) The odds are the same whether its worth $40 mil or $700 mil: According to Multi-State Lottery Association, which runs the game, the odds of having the winning Powerball ticket are 1 in 292.2 million. In other words, you might as well wave goodbye to the $2 you hand over for each ticket. On the other hand, someones going to win sooner or later. As the New York Lottery says, you must be in it to win it. The previous lottery record was a $656 million Mega Millions payout in March of 2012 handed over to three lucky winners in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland. That $700 million figure is for an annuity paid out over 30 years. If you want your money immediately, which most winners do, you will get an estimated $428.4 million. Still nothing to sniff at. There are only six states in the U.S. that dont participate in the Powerball Lottery: Nevada, Utah, Mississippi, Alabama, Alaska and Hawaii. Our most recent big winner here in Glasgow, Donna Combs, won $200,000 using her late husband Bobs numbers that he routinely used for years. However, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association, about 75% of tickets are computer picks. And about 75% of winners are computer picks. But if you do have your favorite numbers, may as well stick with them and splurge on a computer ticket while youre at it. Oh, and you may as well grab a Mega Millions ticket as well. But its only worth a mere $165 million. Estimated jackpots for the next drawings are: MontanaCash: $100,000 WildCard: $260,000 HotLotto: $1.25 million Powerball: $700 million MegaMillions:$165 million LuckyForLife:$1,000/Day for Life

  • (This is not an endorsement, but merely an interesting analogy.)

Youve been on vacation for two weeks, you come home, and your basement is infested with raccoons. Hundreds of rabid, messy, mean raccoons have overtaken your basement. You want them gone immediately so you hire a guy. A pro. You dont care if the guy smells, you need those raccoons gone pronto and hes the guy to do it! You dont care if the guy swears, you dont care if hes an alcoholic, you dont care how many times hes been married, you dont care if he voted for Obama, you dont care if he has plumbers crack... you simply want those raccoons gone! You want your problem fixed! Hes the guy. And hes the best. Period. Thats why Trump. Yes hes a bit of an ass, yes hes an egomaniac, but you dont care. The country is a mess because politicians suck, the Republican Party is two-faced & gutless, illegals are everywhere. You want it all fixed! You dont care that Trump is crude, you dont care that he insults people, you dont care that he had been friendly with Hillary, you dont care that he has changed positions, you dont care that hes been married 3 times, you dont care that he fights with Megyn Kelly and Rosie ODonnell, you dont care that he doesnt know the name of some Muslim terrorist...this country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us, we are being invaded by illegals, we are becoming a nation of victims where every Tom, Ricardo and Hamid is a special group with special rights to a point where we dont even recognize the country we were born and raised in; AND WE JUST WANT IT FIXED and Trump is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want. Youre sick of politicians, sick of the Democratic Party, Republican Party, and sick of illegals. You just want this thing fixed. Trump may not be a saint, but he doesnt have lobbyist money holding him, he doesnt have political correctness restraining him, all you know is that he has been very successful, a good negotiator, he has built a lot of things, and hes also not a cowardly politician. And he says hell fix it. You dont care if the guy has bad hair. You just want those raccoons gone. Out of your house. Now.

Nestled in one of the corners of JRs Party Store is an outstanding selection of wine and now very appealing to the eye with ample room to store it in racks. Wine racks are designed to allow a bottle of wine to be stored on its side. Not only

is it attractive, the thinking behind this orientation is that the cork is more likely to stay moist and not dry out if it is kept in constant contact with the wine. Come check out Lyndas Wine of the Month; shes a bit of a Wine Connoisseur herself!

Three years ago I asked the girl of my dreams out on a date. Yesterday I asked her to marry me. She said no both times. I was wondering what in the world my parents did without the internet, and none of my seven siblings could tell me.
