Happy New Year Everyone!! It seems that everyone that I have

spoken to has been sick or one of their families has been sick this holiday. Well, my family was no exception. This is as sick as I have been for some time. I tend to blame the girls for bringing home germs from school, but as you know, hotel employees are exposed to a host of germs at the hotel from our guests from everywhere! Enough about this flu season!! I hope that each of you enjoyed

2015 is here! Find out what it holds for Memphians & MMHLA members (& what you can do to help your Association meet the challenges of the New Year) at this month’s luncheon meeting!

Mary

the holidays and that you had loved ones to cherish, great food, happy times, and excellent health to enjoy all of it. My wish for each of you is a fantastic 2015 with lots of heads in beds!

This does promise to be a great year for Memphis. But you do not have to believe me, the Obie Wan of Hospitality, Kevin Kane, will be the featured speaker at our January meeting. He will share his wisdom, forecast, and all that the future holds for Memphis this year. So please bring a co-worker or potential member to the January Membership Luncheon on the 21st at the Holiday Inn Downtown on Union and enjoy Kevin’s words of wisdom! Also in January, we put together MMHLA’s Committees. The chairman of each

committee as well as its members will be appointed from our members who volun-teer. If you would like to volunteer for a committee, please email me ([email protected]) or Deanna Ross ([email protected]).

Regardless of your talent, we can find a place for you on one of our many com-mittees. We need volunteers to continue to grow and make our Association strong. Make us your New Year’s resolution—volunteer today. I would like to thank everyone who con-

tributed to our annual Christmas Holiday Party. Excellent venue, great food, lively spirits, good band, friends, coworkers, holiday merriment—what more could you ask for. The evening was enjoyed by everyone! What an ideal way to finish out 2014—hospitality at its finest! So till next month, same time, same

place,
