Desire for a multi purpose lens

EF-S Lens uses a small image circle developed especially for digital SLR cameras.

Compact, highly-mobile lenses that can be used in various situations, are attractive to photographic enthusiasts, who are on the increase.

There has been an increased demand for a multi-purpose “high-magnification standard zoom lens” that covers from wide angle to telephoto, and also provide high image quality and cost performance.

Canon lens Technologies optical The lens achieves high image

quality thanks to the use of a UD lens element that reduces chromatic aberrations.

UD lens elements have a low refraction/dispersion properties. which effectively remove secondary spectra and reduce chromatic aberrations.

In EFS 15-85mm IS Lens, high-precision GMo aspherical lenses and complex aspherical lenses are used to produce high resolution, eliminating distortion.

In regular l lenses, parallel light rays cannot be completely gathered at one point so spherical aberrations occur.

Aspherical lenses are used to correct spherical aberrations.

Canon lens Technologies electronic The image stabilisation effect has

been improved to four steps faster compared to three steps faster of previous models

The lens automatically distinguishes between normal photography and panning .

Using in-lens Image Stabilizer corrected images can be checked in the viewfinder to help for accurate framing and precise focusing.

Electromagnetic Diaphragm (EMD) integrates both an aperture unit and stepping motor. Controlling the aperture using electric pulse signals to set the correct aperture value.
