Four  musicians,   one   family.   Four   artists,   one   sound.   The   JANOSKA   family   has   been   a

family  of  musicians  for  over  250  years.  Right  from  the  beginning,  the  father  passed  on

the  family's  sound  to  his  son,  from  one  generation  to  the  next,  and  so,  the  family's  very

own  style,  the  sound  characteristic  of  the  Danube  region,  the  musical  expression  of  the

JANOSKA  family  was  bequeathed,  cultivated  and  maintained  over  decades.

The  JANOSKA  ENSEMBLE  is  now  taking  this  legacy  to  its  limit  through  its  musical  visions

and   interpretations   in   the   JANOSKA   STYLE   programme:   through   the   swinging

concinnities   in   the   micro-‐timing   range   and   the   ability   to   capture   and   animate   the

audience   to   interact.   An   art   inimitably   mastered   by   the   members   of   the   JANOSKA

ENSEMBLE   -‐   the  exceptional  musical   ingenuity  of   the   JANOSKA  ENSEMBLE  paired  with

talent,   family   ties   as  well   as   gifted  musicianship   and   improvisation   create   the   unique

musical  range  -‐  extending  from  popular,  classical  pieces  all  the  way  to  own  compositions

and  unique,  unusual  arrangements  from  classical  music,  jazz,  pop  and  world  music.  In  its

artistic  harmony,  the  JANOSKA  ENSEMBLE  manages  to  surprise  listeners,  time  and  again,

with  its  unmistakable  JANOSKA  STYLE.

It  depends  on  the  mix

In  their  program  JANOSKA  STYLE  the  JANOSKA  ENSEMBLE  combines  the  typical  classical

repertoire  with   the  music   from   the  Danube   region   and   the   tunes   and  melodies   of   its

origins.   The   programme   thus   features   a   melange   of   classical   music,   jazz   and   world

music.
