Music has the power to influence and to move people. The amp and the wire are usually connected to musical instruments to enhance its sound, also enabling music to reach out to more people. When we’re “plugged in”, we embrace music’s ability to change the world. So plug in today.

BaileysAlcohol bottle label designFor this project I wanted the label design to communicate with the customers, thus the quote, “Drink this only if you expect anything but the ordinary.” at the back of the bottle. The frosted surface indicates that the drink should enjoyed chilled.

The EscapeA series of photographs and snapshots
“The f lower in the hand. The f lower signif ies us. We are all wonderfully and fearfully made, just like that f lower.
However, sometimes we go through life and we let our insecurities tear us down, and we forget that we were made perfect in God’s eyes. But if we were to place our security in Him, God will carry us
through, just like the hand that carries the f lower tenderly, even though we’re broken, God still loves us.”
The PassingA feature on a big-scale project
Beauty. The qualities that give pleasure to the senses.
Brokenness. Incomplete, fractured, disordered or ugly.
Two opposing forces. What happens if beauty is found in the broken?
This is a fascination I’ve had all my life, whether I realised I was fascinated or not, which led me to searching and seeking
the answer for that question. The search brought me to places I have not been to - comfortable or otherwise - to understand
beauty, perfection, perception, death and many others.
After garnering the understanding (or at least a better understanding) of these aspects of beauty and brokenness, I
embarked on a big-scale project that involved many art forms - photography, illustration, sculpturing and a whole lot of
thinking like an artist - all these to convey the challenge to the world that there is beauty in brokenness.
This project took 3 months in the making.
Beauty In The Broken
“There is no exquisite beauty without some strangeness in the proportion.”

Angel sculpture & Box towerThe angel sculpture was placed on a tower of boxes that were painted on. After the presentation, the tower was destroyed, causing the sculpture to fall, resembling a fallen angel.
The MessengerMy name is Boey Wei-Jan.
I’m born on the 27th of September, 1990.
It started off with a passion for a totally different view seen behind the lens. Later on a realisation on my inherent artistic sensibility. Then a longing to tell stories, whether visually or with words.
I see myself as a person who has many ideas waiting to be channeled into many different forms of art. I want people to embrace the uncanny through the things that I do. I am motivated, creative,
able to conceptualise and capable of juggling multiple projects at once.
In addition, I posses people skills as I’ve gained experience by being an active committee member of the Interact Club and involvements in various co-curricular activities in secondary school, thus making me capable of communicating and understanding people plus able to adapt to almost any
environment I’m placed in.
